That was too easy for Hasanova. I'll make him suffer later
Tigerfan----just being the good natured trouble maker. I am at that time of the year where you have to "stir" to get people to talk..... :)
I may not even notice - I'm a Guilford College football fan, so I've become accustomed to suffering.  :)

Touche' once again. I bowed to your superior intellect Jeffe.  :)

You have been suffering longer than any of these whipper snappers

abnrgr, I know "El Jefe" is not a title you throw around loosely, so "gracias, amigo".  lol  You can be "El Guapo."  :)

With six more recruits, Coach Rusiewicz is up to 42 at Guilford - hope that translates to 30+ seniors in the fall of 2015!

Marcus WIlliams had a 150 tackles. Ball Hawk!!! Finally....

Also a Phsics major, Eagle Scout, accounting major thrown in there. I guess GC-Q could use these guys when playing Duke in the "SAT Bowl".  :)

I noticed those things also.  Always great to keep the "student" in "student athlete."  Guilford has some very smart "students", but pretty sure we couldn't hang with ACC/Duke on the "athlete" half of the phrase. lol  Do wish we'd raise our profile on the nonconference part of the schedule - maybe get a game with Centre, Johns Hopkins, Rhodes, Sewanee (done that before) and others from time to time.  It's a travel budget issue, however ... really can't find three DIII nonconference opponents any closer than Greensboro, Averett and Methodist.

Congrats to my Generals for picking up the ODAC Overall Sports Champion Cup for the ninth straight year and 16th of the 18 times its been awarded. As has become increasingly common, the women's sports carried the day by barely lifting the Generals over a very game Lynchburg effort in the overall standings.

The women have won 9 straight and the men finished third in the individual standings, with Lynchburg second in the women's cup and first in the men's cup.

The best part of all of this? It means that the 2011-12 ODAC schedule is complete, putting us one official step closer to the 2012 ODAC football season!

Congratulations to the Generals for another great season!

I'm not sure about other ODAC schools, but Guilford will still represent the ODAC in the NCAA golf tournament next week and the Quakers also have a competitor or two in the NCAA outdoor Track & Field championships ... so, the ODAC sports season is not quite over.  :)

Hasanova -- every ODAC championship has been awarded. The ODAC season is over. However, there are many ODAC affiliated schools/athletes competing in the various NCAA tournaments. But there is nothing more in the ODAC to be won.

Yep. Just a bit. What can I say? I'm proud of the Generals. That being said, I'd probably trade a most of them for some more ODAC football titles. Is it wrong that I overvalue football that much (or undervalue the other sports?). What's really interesting, is I'm a soccer player by history, and I'm probably one of the few people that actually looks for MLS on TV. But when it comes to my college, football is what really matters...

I wish other ODAC schools would post recruit updates.  It's impossible to find any info from RMC on any recruits.

On another front, here's a link to RMC's new football field:

Likewise, check out the new baseball stadium:

Good point - gotcha.  Again, congratulations to the Generals!

While looking at Bridgewater's football page today, I saw where the State Farm agent appearing in a TV spot with former Indiana U. basketball coach, Bob Knight, is former Eagle punter Colin Owens '07.  Some of you may have seen the commercial, but here's a link:

abnrgr, I'm bored.  Please say something outrageous and get someone riled up.  It doesn't even have to be related to ODAC football.  :)
