...How far at 7 mph over the speed limit from Baltimore to Collegeville, PA?

Only on a D3 Board would you find mathematical word problems!  I love it. I don't know the answer but if you take the north bound train at 52 mph.... ::)
Hampden Sydney College
ODAC Champions 77, 82, 83, 87, 07, 09, 11, 13, 14
NCAA Playoffs - 77, 07, 09, 10, 11, 13, 14
The "Game" 60 wins and counting...
11/18/2018 Wally referred to me as Chief and admitted "I don't know about that!"

Hi all. This is my first post here. I played for the generals 07-10 and have been reading this board since I played. I'll be at catholic this weekend for the game. I expect w&l to rebound this weekend. For some reason we always have a tough time playing in bridgewater and sadly enough the results did not surprise me. Generals still have a tough road ahead and I think the hsc game at home will again be for the conference championship as it was the past two years. Good luck to all this weekend.

So, if a 180 pound freshman runner for an unranked team takes the hand-off at his own 2 yard line and runs into the Mount Union defensive line at 8 mph, his next view will be:

a) the turf at the 3 yard line
b) purple jerseys on all four sides at the 2 yard line
c) the sky from his prone position on his back at the 1 yard line
d) the ref signaling a safety
e) the nurse at the local ER

Welcome and +K from the other W&L rep that is around. Nice to have a former player. I'm an alum and former sports editor for The Trident, but not a former player. And congrats on your career. As someone who experienced 4 seasons of 4-5 or 5-4 football when I was there, it has been nice to see the program grow and evolve.

Possibly a) briefly, followed by everything else except d) because he should get forward progress?

Is GC offense built around the pass or do they attempt to run the ball ?
I'm getting really tired of watching all of these spread offenses in the ODAC
and I'm hoping (falsely I'm sure) I'll see something different this week.
I look forward to the W&L game every year because I know they will not
throw it 60 times and the defense will be challenged to stop the run.

Probably not going to see 60 passes, but 30-40 wouldn't surprise me at all...

Thirty-five passes or so is about right with five or six people being targets.  There is some running game, but I'd say usually in the 80 to 150 yard range.  I did see one or two triple option plays the last game I attended, but nothing like W&L.  In Guilford's last game against RMC, the starting QB threw 24 of 37 for 354 and a WR was 1 for 1 with a 51 yard pass, so 405 total.  I believe the running game was 160 yards on 27 carries.  Total was 565 yards on 65 plays.

those #'s are awesom. Is GC that good or is RMC's defense that bad ?

Considering they were beaten up pretty bad by W&L, Guilford, JHU and even Bethany (although they won that one!) they don't look very good on defense. But they held a bad Averett, E&H, and a strange Catholic team to low numbers. Like the rest of the ODAC this year, RMC looks very inconsistent.

I'd say GC has improved tremendously, but RMC's defense is going through a rough spot as well.

most likely all but a and c

the purple jerseys he would see on the 2 yard line would be defensive backs, and the 180 lb rb would see them from 5 yards behind the line as he is lying in a prone position 3 yards deep in the end zone as the ref signals safety and he (the player) contemplates an ambulance ride because the muc defensive front 7 has moved the line of scrimmage into the end zone :)

and, to answere D O.C.'s original question

the rate at which you travel does not change the distance, just the time it takes to travel, so 118 miles (per google maps) :)

Long time since Narch has been prowling or should I say..... skulking about the ODAC boards.
What's up bro :)

Where has ADM Papi been. Deployed?

I'm still working on this one...

Two trains are 200 km apart, and travelling towards each other at 50 km/hour each.

From one train a fly takes off, flying straight above the rails to the other train at the speed of 75 km/hour, bounces off it and flies back to the first train.

This is repeated till the trains crash together and the fly is smashed (Headline: Fly Dies in Freak Train Crash)

What distance is the fly able to fly until its meet its tragic end?

Since it will take 2 hours before the trains crash and the fly is doing 75 km/hour, the fly will travel 150 km.
