Well he's gone now, but probably still lurking. A parent of a player is fine if they don't come on here to exclusively toot the horn of their son, or get incredibly defensive! I was just wondering how the students feel in this situation -- I feel sorta bad if I somehow "chased him away" but it is it what is.

As a proud daddy of 3 great sons of which one is a d3 footballer I love this board!  I read every article on D3football.com and love that too. There's no better place to learn about next week's opponent. I know I'm newer to this board. I also know I'm not as politically correct as others may be. But I am certainly willing to take as much as I give.

What's weird is the QB from GC did not need any props. The kid has played great all year.

It must be a tough week for the RMC folks. If they want a shot at the title they have to hope for a HSC victory this week. WELCOME NEW FANS!  You can show your sprit by shopping online at the HSC bookstore. If HSC wins then loses to RMC the winner of RMC and BC could be in a 3 way tie first. Anyone know the tie breaking procedures for the ODAC?

i posted while my son was playing and continued to post while he went through a tough time losing the starting qb spot as a senior after a pretty good junior year.  it is a team game and that is the way it should be.  i took some heat for my disagreement with the decision but in the end it was what it was.  i am still here 4+ years later and he stills busts my stones every once in a while for how much time i spend on d3 during football season.  it has allowd me to deal with both of my sons no longer playing after 18+ years every weekend.  i have met some great people who i am glad to call good friends now, the stone station folks are some of them.  i always looked at it like if your kid can play he can play, someone else will toot his horn.  enjoy the time your son is playing it will be over before you know it.

Can we please go back to being the nice, gentile, ODAC board that we've mostly had for the 2 years or so I've been posting? We've had our excitement, we've had some annoyance, now can we let it go?

Between the two Guilford QB dads this year we're starting to resemble the NWC board (no one will rival the Monon Bell board thankfully).

Big game this weekend for the inside track. If H-SC wins, R-MC still has a shot at taking the crown since they could own a H2H. If W&L wins, R-MC and H-SC are out unless there is a 3 way tie because the Generals own the H2H over both, but Bridgewater could still be in if W&L loses to Shenandoah the following week and there is no 3 way tie (R-MC, Guilford, H-SC keep losing).

Guilford is out the H2H to both W&L and H-SC, so they will only have hope in a 3 way. At this point, H-SC, W&L, Bridgewater, R-MC and Guilford all still have some hopes of winning the ODAC.

I don't know this Blog, but it contains the ODAC tiebreakers as they relate to BC. It was done last week, so the info is a bit out of date, but it will still give you an idea how a 3 way would be decided.

jk, i saw the hampden/bridgewater game and was really surprised that bridgewater was able to beat W&L.  i expect hampden to win this weekend, they look like they have stepped up their play since i saw them.  i think you can pass on hampden, but that is not W&L's game.  i am sure hampden knows what needs to be done to shut down the option offense.  can W&L contain the hampden passing game?

on the other note, i agree, you do not want this to end up being like the nwc board.  i enjoy chatting with you guys about football.

W&L at didn't show up at Bridgewater. Simple as that. As for this weekend, I don't know. W&L plays a lot of passing teams and has done well shutting them down all season with the exceptions of the two losses. Our defense is better this year than it has been.

Can H-SC stop the option? They haven't the last couple years. W&L shot themselves in the foot the first half last year and didn't have a problem scoring in the second half, the hole was just too deep. It should be a good game. W&L hasn't lost at home in a few years, but there is no doubt in my mind that these are the best two teams in the ODAC as they have been the last couple years.

Saturday should be for the marbles, as I don't expect either team to lose their home finale.

The W&L vs. HSC game is going to be a dog fight. HSC has done well against the run so far this year BUT they have not played against the option. Has the makings to be a great game. If HSC is lucky enough to win they are going to have to be prepared to play THE GAME with more fight than they brought into that game last year. Lots of football to be played and its going to be fun to watch.

Every knows HSC has a great passing game. In the last 4 games HSC has rushed for over 800 yards. The HSC offense is very balanced.

hsc offense has become very balanced since the egg they laid at CU. We'll see if that continues. HSc defense has been alot better than last year as well and has gotten better with each game. Hopefully those trends will continue throughout the remainder of the season. GC offense, which is pretty damn good, couldn't do much this past Saturday

That said, W&L is the best team the Tigers will face since the Huntingdon game so things will become more difficult for them this coming Saturday.

It's hard to get ready in one week for triple O. Their defense better be disciplined. Especially OLB/DE
