pay to play AND put in as much time as the D1 guys do. not sure I understand the 12 month deal found in D3 today but none-the-less you either buy into it or you don't play

If they do a remake of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest", I'm casting you for the Jack Nicholson role.  :)

are any of the Stone Station folks still lurking? still tailgating?

HSC visits CNU in September. What is the tailgate situation ? Is there a visitors tailgating lot (area) or do you just show up and fin d a space. I believe the game has a 7pm kickoff. Look forward to the visit as I've not had the opportunity to enjoy a game at CNU. I hear the environment is really good.

I'm predicting a playoff victory for the ODAC winner this season.

Hopefully it isn't a trip to Wesley, MHB, or "You know who". :-X

I'm predicting a playoff victory for the ODAC winner this season.

A bold prediction given recent, and not so recent, history. Of the contenders I do see HSC and Bridgewater with a good possibility to go undefeated through their non-conf this year. W&L will also have a chance, though they haven't done so since before 2000 (too lazy to check further back). Unfortunately I see RMC as the class of the conference and they have a date with Johns Hopkins. At 9-1 the ODAC rep probably will not get a home game especially as we've moved away from strict regions. The ODAC isn't going to get the benefit of the doubt (nor have they earned it). So I think we'll need a 10-0 champion to get a home game.  That has only happened once in the last 10 seasons and that team was then soundly beaten at home in the first round by Johns Hopkins...

Yea; I was at that game. Not much fun.

To your point on RMC; they will be good but for some reason I feel BC is going to be the team to deal with.
HSC will play W&L and RMC in the last two weeks; RMC will play BC and HSC in the last two weeks. Should be alot of fun.
I see the ODAC champ at 8-2 and going to somewhere like Wesley but if one of the teams can figure away to go 9-1 that team might get to travel to Hopkins and that is at least an opportunity for a win.

At various times I've thought HSC, RMC or Bridgewater would be the top team. The ordering comes when I think about the schedule.

Bridgewater has to play at W&L and HSC, HSC has to play The Game at RMC, RMC has to travel to Bridgewater. W&L hasn't lost a conference game in Lexington in a couple years, and the Generals are not going to be happy about the game against Bridgewater last year. I could see the Eagles dropping that one. That means I'm a little less inclined to think Bridgewater can run the table than I am about HSC and RMC. HSC has struggled in The Game the last two years, even though they've had superior talent. With RMC closing that gap, and playing at home, I'm thinking schedule-wise RMC is in the best shape. RMC is coming off second place last year, when they played a harder schedule at W&L and HSC, so it might be time to give them the benefit of the doubt, especially since they've taken two in a row from both HSC and Bridgewater.

Of course, with HSC dropping one to Catholic, RMC dropping one to Guilford, and W&L dropping one to Bridgewater last year, the ODAC continues to show that the best of the conference just can't seem to show up for an entire season.

I'll be interested to see how Pat and Crew stack up the ODAC in Kickoff. But that is still 6+ weeks from coming out.

All good points but I can't see RMC beating us three years in a row. That would really ruin my Thanksgiving !!!

Not to be wet blanket, but I could see it happening pretty easily. As stated above, the game is in Ashland, and I firmly believe that Arruza will figure out a way to outcoach Favret if it stays close.
Obviously I hope that I'm wrong and that all my HSC brethren will be able to come here and rake me over the coals, but for now my gut tells me that RMC should come out on top again.

Certainly anything is possible but I'm sticking with my theory that RMC will not beat HSC three years in a row. If I'm wrong, I'll have another bad Thanksgiving !!!!

Sorry for the delay. All the tailgating info you need is right here... http://cnusports.com/sports/2011/5/16/ticket-office.aspx. Not sure of the cost. I called someone in Athletic Dept, and he thought it might be $20 this year. It is a lot of fun. If I remember correctly, the lot opens at 2pm. It starts to get crowded around 4 as the students pile in for cornhole and beer! Hopefully, we will give you guys a better game this year. I went to HSC last year and it was downright UGLY!!

and if you look at the info anytime soon, I think they adjusted the map and not the instructions. The instructions say tailgating is in Lot I and on the map Lot I is not the tailgate lot. Per the Map (as of today), tailgating is in LOT N near the stadium.

It should be corrected soon. I will keep you posted.
