It appears he was looking to move on.

I saw that last spring and have been watching the boards to see if someone knew the scoop...

Best wishes where ever he heads.

Agreed. I'm sure if he turns up somewhere in D3 Pat will let us know. Probably a good story for a regional columnist if nothing else. Hopefully he gets what he's looking for. Poor guy, that video was probably every catch he made, which was just about every ball thrown his way...

Hasa

Headcount now 450 people. I'll try to back that down some !!!!
Thanks.  Otherwise, I might be in bankruptcy court on Nov. 4!

News from a different sport half a world away, but I saw the host LG Wyverns top the visiting SK Twins 6-1 in Korean League Baseball Thursday night in Seoul.  Cheerleaders for both teams and sushi, steamed rice aand kimchi at the concessions.  I'd say about Double A in USA.   Glad I got to go!

See link below for info as to where Evans ended up.

Thanks for the link, wasper68.  +1  Interesting he'll still be at an ODAC school.

jknezek

+1 also. Thanks for the link. I'm happy for Alex and hope it works out for him. Maybe he'll get a walk on tryout somewhere in the pros. He's probably big enough, not sure if he is fast enough or has the hands or experience. Kind of glad he's at Catholic and not RMC or HSC. I can still root for him and feel pretty confident that even if he catches a dozen balls against the Generals I don't think it will kill us (of course it's the ODAC, so you never know until the game is over).

I also think the article was pretty good in general. It is going to be hard to replace the big 3, but there was talent behind them and that offensive line is going to be real good. While Lombardo isn't Charlie Westfal, he's good enough to make that offence explosive in his second full year as a starter.

Looking forward to the start of the season!

I hope things work out for Alex. Surprised he picked CUA but I'm certain there are reasons for his decision. Not sure I would walk away from a degree from W&L to chase a wild NFL dream, but stranger things have happened.Certainly a few D3 kids do show up in the league occassionally and have success. Long shot at best, but I'm sure he understands the reality of making a NFL team.

Hasa, I've worked the invitee list down to 300 and have made arrangements for a low interest loan on your behalf to fund the event. Very thoughtful of you to agree to host all of us !!!!

You're welcome.  When you say low, you're not affiliated with any paycheck loan company are you?  :)

Thought you ODAC guys might like to know that Joe Nichols' "If Nobody Believed in You" video from 04 has a W&L sticker on the back of a car.
Where Chilhowee's lofty mountains pierce the southern blue, proudly stands our Alma Mater
NOBLE, GRAND, and TRUE.
TO THE HILL!

Never knew that. But I don't spend much time on CMT either. +1 for trivial W&L related info

If one of our ODAC posters had a weak moment, which, of course, they never do, someone might reply, "Isn't that a bit redundant, since we've been taught all "W&L related info" is trivial?"  Just kidding, Generals!  Love ya, mean it.  +1 for jknezek for, generally speaking, being a good sport.  :)

From the lofty heights of 260+ years of educational excellence, sometimes its just hard to connect with the plebeians below!   :P  Now where is my shirt that says "Washington and Lee University IS the university of Virginia"  ;D

And yes, I couldn't type that out on my iphone since it kept trying to change plebeians to lesbians... Modern technology...

On another note, I'm eagerly awaiting my issue of Kickoff which is due to come out any day now. If you haven't spent your $12 or so to get a copy, do it because it is incredibly well written and fun to read, or do it because it helps support this site, but for the sake of all of us who enjoy bantering on here, just go and do it!

Pat Coleman

Even better -- only $11!
W&L fans have been the biggest supporters of Kickoff from the ODAC for a couple years now. So far this year, just a couple from Emory & Henry, Hampden-Sydney, Randolph-Macon and Guilford, nobody from Bridgewater, Catholic (alma mater!?!) or Shenandoah.

If I counted right looks like HSC has 109 suited up: 19 sr's, 28 jr's, 32 soph's & 30 fresh.
With those numbers the two deep should have some experience.
