JKmakes really good points. Salisbury is a complete reversal of H-SC as far as the offense. CNU proved they can stop the triple option. Now they have one week to implement a game plan to stop someone from throwing 400 yards. Even SU averaged 20 yards a pass play. But then again CNU was daring them to pass. Now CNU has to change tactics and not focus on the run. A few play action plays early could be bad news.

Some other keys for CNU. Top LB Moog has only played in 12 games on D. Before that he was a RB. So he gets better and better every game. CNU went out and brought in 3 assistant coaches on D. They are bringing a wealth of knowledge.

This may sound funny, but I think this game is a bigger test for CNU than Salisbury. This game will show how CNU can change up game plans and prepare for vastly different teams on  a weekly basis.

Also, CNU just implemented the read option this year. The first half was sketchy. The second half it clicked with their QB. Oh, BTW the QB hasn't had a full year of games under his belt in this position. He was a RB before. He seems to get better every game. Exclude the Mt Union game

Tomorrow at lunch I have to predict the score, in the presence of the athletic director. I was wrong last week. I'm not sure what my prediction will be.

How many H-SC fans are coming to the game?

HSC travels fairly well. Not sure how many will show up. Given the location, my guess is around 500.
Does the staduim have visiting side sitting ? Good luck with your prediction. If you pick CNU, I hope your prediction is wrong !!!!

Yes there is visitor side seating. It isn't very big, but I would imagine CNU is having discussions with H-SC about attendance and will put up temporary bleachers. Not sure how I am going to predict this week. I have 2 hours to figure it out!! This game is HUGE for CNU!!

... and for HSC.  Even if HSC wins the ODAC, a game such as this will carry some weight in seeding.

I've decided to drive to Fayettenam ... oops, Fayetteville ... for Saturday's 1 PM Guilford/Methodist game.  Not sure what year it was, but the last time I went to MU it was 50-47 Guilford on a VERY HOT day.  I'm pretty sure Vogelbach was QB for GCQ.  Anyone want 95 on an over and under?  These two teams will be a lot less points ... and I don't bet ... but I expect about 55-65 total points.  :)

Well I guess the Tigers have not been to FayettteNAM to play the Monarchs. There is no visitor side. They do have nice home seating.

CNU will get beaten. I say it every year (tongue in cheek)  DAMN The Captains!!

I love em all!!
Never shall I leave a fallen comrade

Kind of at loose ends this week with W&L in a bye week. Huntingdon goes to Mississippi College and I don't want to make that drive and Birmingham Southern gets one of their three first year programs. I guess I'm going to have to watch the big boys on TV...

Bleh. The only good things about Alabama and Auburn is when they win the people I work with are happier. Either way I hear about it over, and over, and over. Besides, it's not going to be much of a game in my opinion. I don't think A&M has the defense this year, and they aren't catching Bama snoozing after a huge win over LSU. I'd be surprised if it is inside 2 touchdowns.

You sir are wise. I say Bama by 17. Saban has that game looped in the locker room so they are sick of seeing it. Bama will come out with their hair on fire to make a statement.  No, I am not a Bama fan

As far as I know, an overzealous ODAC fan is yet to poison a tree on another campus.  :)

Or dress a statue of a legendary coach in a Cam Newton jersey?  ::)

Been a Bama fan all my life. Will get back to following them when my kids finish playing; until then I'll keep up them via ESPN.

You aren't alone and ESPN will be happy to cater to you. Since moving to B'ham I've been out to Bryant Denny for one game. That was more than enough but at least I can say I did it. When I lived in FL I got to one Miami, Fl State and Florida game, when I was at W&L I got to one TN and one Va Tech game. I haven't gotten to Auburn yet, mainly because I couldn't get tickets during Cam's rental, didn't get a chance the year after, and had no desire to sit in an empty stadium last year.

Anyway I cut it though, I prefer the D3 games. Thankfully there are a few more around me now than when I lived in FL, but I wish I had a dozen games within a 2 hour drive to pick from. My wife might kill me if I went every week, but I wouldn't mind going regularly.

I love D3 but when my kids are done playing D3, I'm taking the Fall off and traveling to every SEC venue. Leaving home in Aug. back after the SEC championship game.
