+k to hasa for becoming a grandfather.
I'm old enough to be my son's grandfather. I hope not to be a grandpa for at least 20-25 years.
Thanks, Rt. Rev.  Some of us follow other conferences as well.  Good luck to Hobart as well as you and your son.  :)

I first came to look at the ODAC because Scott Yoder took over at SU. However, I found that you guys have a really exciting conference with W&L, HSC, RMC, and Guilford, etc. So even though I'm really a Hobart/Liberty League/East Region fan, I can't help myself...I'm going to be following the HSC v RMC game this weekend. Clash of the Titans. As a neutral observer, it's going to be a great game no matter who wins. I can't imagine how pumped you true believers must be. It's going to be a great Saturday.

It is both the peril and the joy of having no dominant conference team. The conference season is fascinating and captivating almost every year.

You're right, abnrgr.  My hat's off to my daughter-in-law for carrying twins that size for 38 weeks.  My DNA won't win any prizes either, but at least it's not setting off any (known) alarms in the FBI database.  :)

I predict if HSC wins the ODAC they will travel to JHU. If RMC wins they will travel to Wesley to avoid a first round matchup against an OOC opponent.

As good a guess as any. I'm going to go outside the box and predict HSC would go to Wittenberg or RMC to Hobart or John Carroll.

Your guess is probably more informed than mine. Going to Wittenberg will help prepare HSC for it's trip to Wabash in September, so all would not be lost.

I keep hearing 15,000 people will attend The Game, with about half of that number never leaving the tailgate. Those folks will listen in via radio, or not.

It's just a guess. I just picked a few names that were possible but not something you would really think about. As for the bolded part, that's just awesome. I wish I lived close enough to go.

First time in awhile The Game is for the title and it is considered by most alumni to be the "second" season. Go 9-0 first nine weeks and get beat by Macon, bad season. Go 0-9 but beat Macon, good season. This one should be a really good football game if both teams bring their game. My guess is they both will.

ESPN Game Day is doing a special this Saturday at 10am on The Game. ESPN WILL NOT BE ON CAMPUS. So if ya'll are able plug in and listen, do so. Should be interesting a certainly good for the ODAC.

There is one team the ODAC champ might face that no one has mentioned - Gallaudet. They are well with the 500 mile range and the certainly deserve to host a game if they go undefeated.
Hampden Sydney College
ODAC Champions 77, 82, 83, 87, 07, 09, 11, 13, 14
NCAA Playoffs - 77, 07, 09, 10, 11, 13, 14
The "Game" 60 wins and counting...
11/18/2018 Wally referred to me as Chief and admitted "I don't know about that!"

As I understand it Coach Favret was on ESPN radio today.

Extremely unlikely to host based on their falling Regional Ranking (6th in the East) and SOS (193). It's possible, but the big drop from last week to this week in the Regional Rankings is a good indication of the committee's evaluation of their team strength. I think both the South and East will be hard pressed to have more than 3 teams each hosting, with the remaining 10 coming from the North and West. It's possible the Bison will get a home game, but I wouldn't bet on it. Be a good match up for just about anyone though. You'd have to like your chances.

I don't disagree and I certainly would not bet on it. What do you think of Wesley's chances of hosting a first round game?

My three from the South would be UMHB, JHU and Millsaps (provided all 3 win this weekend). Millsaps is behind Wesley in the RR, so someone clearly thinks more of them then I do. At 4-2 in division, and losses to the only two opponents likely to make the tournament, I don't see the big deal about Wesley this year. They are worthy of one of the three Bs, I suppose, but it would be borderline for me. I'd send them on the road. There are better teams to host in the North and West that could have quads built around them.

In division winning percentage is a primary criteria. 66% doesn't fire me up, especially not for hosting duties. If they host, they can thank their reputation, not their body of work this year. That being said, they are big, strong, and fast from when I watched them demolish BSC, and I wouldn't really want to play them. No lower than a 5 seed if it was me putting them in.

I'd love to see them play JHU in Baltimore, or go on the road to Hobart this year in the second round. See if either of those teams can extract a little revenge for the recent past.
