One Wabash poster is whining that political correctness kept all male Wabash out of the postseason.  He has yet to explain why Hampden-Sydney got a totally unexpected home game! ;D

(To their credit, it was other Wabash posters who quickly called out that poster.)

Congratulations! Playoffs are so much fun. See you soon?

  Nice video; excellent production values.
I'm confused though ... are you suggesting that Linfield is the only intense, hard-hitting and dedicated team in D3 football? Seems to me that you could substitute specially selected clips from almost any other program (even the ones that don't make the playoffs) and end up with the same result.
And I noticed that there didn't seem to be anything from the Oshkosh game. That was in 2012 wasn't it?

Got to say, that is the most winnable playoff game the ODAC has had since HSC last hosted. Get it done Tigers. We've taken the USASC the last couple years in the regular season, now it is time to show them up in the playoffs as well!

Super news for the Tigers!  We were expecting to travel ... and also expecting to play a team with a better record than Maryville.  Will be wonderful to host again in 6 days!

And perhaps the Tigers will have an opportunity to spend the Thanksgiving Break in Oregon ...    :)

Let's not get ahead of ourselves guys. Given how they've played recently this is definitely a game HSC can win, but I suspect that the Maryville people feel the same way, especially if the team that laid an egg against CNU and Shenandoah shows up.

Just production values 74.
58 consecutive winning seasons does have it's swag, though.

As a rule we do not post fumblng to the other team in overtime to end a season. :-X

It makes even less sense since football is an all-male sport.

I'm all about being politically incorrect, but one has to be factually correct when doing so, because there's always a crew ready to pounce on every little aside.

Not a word in the local paper The Virginian Pilot about HSC hosting a NCAA playoff game. Hats off to Winston-Salem State for getting a bid to the Div II playoffs but that is an out of state tesm. It would be nice to get some love from the local press.

Surely, Wabash poster can understand AQ. Win the conference.

WSSU's bid would have been even better if the championship game had not been cancelled because a Virginia State player beat up the WSSU QB in the bathroom at the awards banquet.  Shame.

I am shocked HSC is hosting. I don't understand the logic nor do I understand the need to send the winner cross country to play second round, but I'm not complaining. Thanksgiving on the left coast could be fun.

The HSC vs. MC game should be a good matchup.

HSC is very much the beneficiary of a partial collapse among the South and East undefeated and one loss teams on the last weekend of the season. HSC's SOS looks very good compared to the other 2 loss teams, and it just boiled down to either Maryville had to fly, or HSC or Maryville had to host. While both teams could have gone other places, those other places (Ohio, Indiana, Western PA) were needed to host other teams or just didn't look real good in the end. HSC got a bit lucky, and combined with a higher SOS ended up with a home game.

As for the winner going West, well, someone had to. Last year Linfield came to Wesley in the second round, so there is precedent for it. I think HSC should be very happy, and thankful with the draw. It gives me a bit of sour grapes since last year with essentially the same resume (loss to a reputable 2 loss OOC team, loss to a top half ODAC team, big SOS), W&L was a 7 seed and shipped to Hobart. But that is how the cookie crumbles and HSC needs to take advantage of this break. Certainly I will be rooting whole heartedly for them to do so, but it illustrates how much small differences and a little luck have to do with those 4-7 seedings.

Congratulations Tigers on a great season and go get those Scots!

We were all surprised. We were scrambling last night to find rooms in Farmville. The Hampton Inn was inundated with calls about 6:20 last night.
