Tigers still hoping for a trip to the northwest!  Lead 42-34, with 2:42 left.  Maryville's got the ball on their own 39.

Congrats HSC it's been a long time coming! Go ODAC! 8-)

Yes, I believe that the last team an ODAC team got to the second round of the NCAA was 2005.  This is the first time in 8 years that the ODAC has moved on.  Bridgewater moved on to the second or third round in 2005.

Congratulations to the Tigers!  If you're going to McMinnville, hope you have time for the Aviation Museum.  Go ODAC!

Good game today at HSC. Maryville has to be very proud of their team. HSC crowd must be proud to win the first playoff game in the history of their program. What a game by Holton Walker ! HSC did a super job of keeping Nash Nance Turf Toe  injury quiet . You could tell Nance was not 100% but still managed to throw 5 TD's. Tough Kid . Good luck to HSC next week !

Way to give an impartial fan a fun game to watch, Tigers.

Safe flight!

Thanks D O.C.   We'll try to remember to bring our defense next week, just to keep you guys on your toes.   ;)

congrats to the tigers and the tiger fans on a win today...we may not agree that hsc earned a home game or that hsc earned the right to play one of the lowest seeds in the region, but we can agree that they earned the win today - great performance by nash nance - good luck in round 2

Thanks for the good wishes Narch.
As for the bolded comments, I for one never thought that HSC earned either of those things, but only got them because of the two NWC teams being in our bracket and the NCAA being cheap. But what were we going to do, politely decline?

Yep. Sounds about right...narch trying to sneak in some negativity to a positive outcome for the ODAC. Come on, man!  No one in the ODAC believed that they should be hosting.  It's just how the cards fell. Perhaps it made the most sense logistically.   We'll take it.  We'll also take the win.  The Tigers may have screwed the pooch a couple of times throughout the season - it happens. This team is good and we'll fight on and give it our damnedest. Let the kids play and keep it positive.

Hell no! We go there to win.  Don't load the plane unless you believe we can win. Who gives a damn as to why we were at home. Oh yeah Narch does. Narch you must play softball. Those underhanded comments are great. We are sitting at the Fishin Pig right outside the entrance laughing our asses off at you comments on HSC. You really have it bad for HSC don't you?  Good grief man give it a rest. Hasn't MU got a basketball game you can comment on?

Congratulations to Hampdon-Sydney on your first playoff win in school history.  I have not been in your great state in 18 years.  Your stadium looks beautiful, very impressive.  I'm from Linfield and am very much looking to our game next week. Since we have so much rain out here we have to have some covered stands.  Safe travels on your long road trip to McMinnville, OR.  Let's look for a good game.

As a former Fighting Scot.....I couldn't be more proud of their performance yesterday. A few tough breaks didn't go their way in Q4. They are a fundamentally sound and well coached group. They are also young. I fully expect the Scots to be back in the thick of things again next year.  Many of us have been waiting 30 years for yesterday. I felt like the Tiger D would be the difference if the Scots didn't create some TO's. MC actually had more total offense but the Tiger D got stops when they had to. I only jumped off the Tiger wagon yesterday.....now I am back on. GO TIGERS beat Linfield! Anyone that follows D3 knows HS will be a decided underdog next Saturday but I totally agree.....if you aren't going west to win.....stay off the plane!

Oh and one more thing.....who was that guy on here last week that predicted if the Scots weren't at least +2 in the TO category.....that the final score would be 42 to 31?  ;D
