Comparing the CATS and the Tigers: Part Four

According to Wikipedia:

Farmville is a town in Prince Edward and Cumberland counties in the U.S. state of Virginia. The population was 8,216 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Prince Edward County.[3]
The Appomattox River traverses Farmville, along with the High Bridge Trail State Park, a more than thirty-mile long rail trail park. At the intersection of US 15, VA 45 and US 460, Farmville is the home of Longwood University and is the town nearest to Hampden-Sydney College.

McMinnville is the county seat and largest city of Yamhill County, Oregon, United States. According to Oregon Geographic Names, it was named by its founder, William T. Newby (1820–1884), an early immigrant on the Oregon Trail, for his hometown of McMinnville, Tennessee. As of the 2010 census, the city had a total population of 32,187. McMinnville is located at the confluence of the North and South Forks of the Yamhill River in the Willamette Valley. Part of the Portland metropolitan area, it lies 35 miles (56 km) southwest of Portland. The city is home to Linfield College and the Evergreen Aviation Museum.

Pretty similar...Tiger fans will feel at home in downtown McMinnville and enjoy the surrounding wine country vineyards.

Jk

I've got to ask the question; how is the left coast going to treat HSC ?

Sadly I think very harshly. Inside 20 points will be a good showing, but it's not like we have very good data.  So I am hoping for the best but between the travel and what I perceive the quality gap to be I am concerned it won't be pretty.

Happy Thanksgiving and safe travels to the Catdome.

Thanks. We look forward to meeting you guys and enjoying an exciting game. Never been to the NW and I look forward to the experience. In lieu of wine, I wish the area was known for it's scotch !!!!

While McMinnville is in the heart of Oregon Wine Country the City of Portland has a thriving brewery scene.  Do bring some rain gear.  Weather looks good now but game day has some mixed forecasts.

First you tell us to get on the plane now you telling us to simply "phone it in" as the game is already in the books.
I'm confused as to what you want us to do !!! So I guess we'll just come out there and see what happens. By the way I'll take the 40 points

I've been a lurker on the NWC board for some time now and in defense of GHC you'll find that almost every post he puts up will have that phrase, especially as the game gets closer. It took me a while to figure it out but I'm pretty sure that he's directing it at the Wildcats, the inference being that they're so much better they don't even have to play hard to win. A little insulting, sure, but at least he's consistent with all their opponents. As a Tiger supporter I wouldn't take it too personally.

Most all of us have many things to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. I am thankful you folks joined all of us NWC posters for an enjoyable week of play and fun. So, to all the D3 supporters, athletes, coaches and schools...Happy Thanksgiving! We look forward to further visits and banter. Go CATS!

OK guys let me explain the phone it in phrase.
As a long time HS Baseball coach up here in Washington state I have for years, used the saying.  If you dont want to play me then just pick a score and phone it in, don't even get on the bus.  In your case The plane.  Our kids like it, its just one of this old dogs sayings.  I will close with my fav-- for both clubs playing on Sat

Give everything you have today, what you save you lose forever !!

Looking forward to a great game,  See you at the Catdome.
