2013 Season in the books, big surprise a team wearing purple wins the National title, however differently than most expected.
Enjoy the off season and for those that follow basketball and/or other sports, have fun as the ODAC should be really exciting in b'ball this season. I'm looking forward to the 2014 football season and until then the best to all of you for a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year !!!

Football Scoop is reporting that Montgomery is in consideration for the Westminster job.

HSC posted 2012 schedule:

9/6  @ Wabash
9/13 vs CNU
9/20 vs Coast Guard
10/4 @ CUA
10/11 @ W&L
10/18 vs E&H
10/25 @ SU
11/1   @ Bridgewater
11/8  vs Guilford
11/15 vs RMC

Pretty good OOC schedule and the usual odac fist fight

It is interesting that it looks like W&L and Bridgewater/Guilford switched places in HSC's schedule. First time in a while that the HSC/W&L game will be early in the conference season.

W&L posted their schedule as well:

Sep. 06    at Averett
Sep. 13    at Sewanee
Sep. 20    Centre
Oct. 04    * at Guilford
Oct. 11    * Hampden-Sydney
Oct. 18    * Randolph-Macon
Oct. 25    * at Bridgewater
Nov. 01    * Emory & Henry
Nov. 08    * at Catholic
Nov. 15    * Shenandoah

Very unhappy the Generals switched out F&M for Averett. Not real sure I like having HSC and RMC back to back either. However, I am pleased the Centre game was moved up a week so now W&L has the bye week before the start of conference games instead of a week earlier.

If W&L is going to make a run, this is a year when the schedule is favorable. Centre, HSC, and RMC at home. Opening the conference at Guilford will be a challenge, at Bridgewater always is miserable for the Generals, that leaves the last three games which I think will still be against teams at the bottom of the ODAC standings.

Long way until 9/6...

I rather have the W&L schedule for the reason you stated; tough, important games played at home.
Enjoy the winter and stay warm.

It's a blistering 34 degrees in the Knoxville area today. Nice little break from single digits and minus 8 wind chills.

How's it going in the Old Dominion these days?

Pretty much what you just described; been very cold and windy the past several days but will be in the 60's this weekend. If you don't like the weather in Virginia today just wait a few days as it always seems to get better. I'm sure you remember how it works. MC should rejoin the odac to allow you to spend more time in the Old Dominion !!!

I would love to spend more time in the Old Dominion, but I feel like the USAC has a good thing going and will be more competitive in the years to come.

Of course the USAC and ODAC can merge and have a 17 team conference.  That way we could spend the summer on the Bay and the winter in Mobile.

Everything will turn out all right for the ODAC. But on another subject I was watching Johnny Manziell today is my 57 years I cannot remember if I was coaching playing being a grad assistant whatever my capacity; I have never seen a better college quarterback in my life.

Can anyone refute

Yeah, a 17 team football conference spanning AL, GA, NC, TN and VA would pull in the big bucks on a TV package ... now, if only a team in SC would apply.  lol
