I might be wrong but in the past 2 loss teams have found it difficult to get into the tournament without the AQ.  It was either last year or the year prior that D3Football had in an article how they were excited about a couple of 2 loss teams getting at large bids.  I'm not debating your argument. It makes perfect sense to me and it is most likely accurate. But the NCAA does not seem to always pick teams based on common sense.  Nothing against GC, but I'm pulling for EH to win and get a long shot bid to the tournament.  Assuming of course the Tigers can take care of business at home this weekend against RMC.

The things that I think have to happen for E&H to even be considered on Saturday night/Sunday:
- Hardin-Simmons must lose
- TLU must lose (they are getting a lot of benefit of the doubt points from that regional committee...a loss to Southwestern blows their house of cards down)
- Centre must either lose (and be removed from consideration), or be selected in Pool B
- Muhlenberg must lose
- E&H has to get ranked ahead of Thomas More after all of that carnage.

The TLU/Centre/Muhlenberg is weird, but maybe the weirder thing (and the thing that makes it mildly acceptable for TLU to be ranked ahead of Centre) is Hardin-Simmons being ranked.  The South RAC appears to be putting heavy, heavy (some might say too much) emphasis on that SOS; which is how you get HSU ranked and E&H not.

I was telling another E&H fan in the past couple of weeks, their schedule just isn't built to get in as an at-large. Considering the state of the program for the past decade or so, that's understandable. Hopefully they will look at different competition in the future.

I would normally say there's no way E&H gets moved in front of Thomas More, but with the change in South Regional Rankings from the 1st week to the 2nd week -- you never know.  BUT, as has been said on here before -- the committee would be penalizing a team for scheduling Wesley after all the talk about schools needing to challenge themselves through their OOC scheduling.  If there had been a Bridge Bowl this season, Thomas More would've been 9-1 and with a similar resume to E&H with the exception being a loss to South Region #4 compared with a team who lost to South Region #9.

I believe Thomas More still has some of that "benefit of the doubt" leftover from playing Wesley to a 15 point game in Dover, but I think they've earned that to an extent.  Its a fair ranking - they are where they should be.

If E&H beats Guilford then they have a chance to hop into the rankings somewhere, possibly. It will bring their SOS up higher, for sure.

Hey bud. That's really a shame about the Bridge Bowl. As I said before, it's just insane that two D3 schools 14 miles apart would stop playing! There are dozens of Cincinnati-area players to go on to D3 competition every single year- PLENTY to go around. In fact some of Centre's best players, including this week's SAA PoW, are from the Greater Catholic League. So its such a copout to stop playing for recruiting reasons. In fact I think it's a clear sign of resignation.

So I have a question: why on earth did TM pick up Wesley to replace MSJ? They're already playing in a very competitive conference that includes W&J and that has an AQ. I'd think they'd be a lock to get in had they picked up 90% of the Ohio or Virginia schools.

Chance of HSU losing:  15-20%
Chance of TLU losing to 1-win Southwestern, with a playoff bid on the line:  <5%

don't really need to go any further.

HSC desperately trying to back in to an ODAC championship. Guilford is doing them all kinds of favors. W&L picks up a win to go out on a high note. And I don't think I've got a single game right in today's pick'em...

Four way tie atop the ODAC at 5-2, but it appears the Tigers "win" the title.  BC, E&H and GC finish 8-2 while HSC finishes 7-3.  The tie-breaker rules work in HSC's favor.

CMR

THE GAME was the Men (RMC) vs. the boys (HSC).  Total domination, should not have been that close.  Four red zones for RMC, only 3 points.  HSC only TD was controversial.

CMR

Guilford is the best team in the ODAC right now!

Sounds like another team wins a title via tiebreaker and they are not playing very well.  Rowan sneaks away with the NJAC and Hampden gets the ODAC and seems like neither team is the best team in the conference at this point.

Agreed, as an ODAC fan, I'd prefer Guilford representing the conference.

It's strange how it goes sometimes.  Guilford beat RMC decisively and held off a good BC squad, but cannot get the now 15-year monkey Tiger off their back.  Then, there was the opening kickoff for a TD that set the tone at SU.  Sigh.  I sincerely wish HSC well in whatever road trip they're assigned, but I also believe Guilford is the best team in the ODAC at the moment.  If this was DI, we'd have four teams in a postseason bowl ... I find it laughable a 6-6 DI team is "bowl eligible."  C'est la vie!

Stat of the day:  GC held an insane 42:40 to 17:20 TOP against E&H today.

CMR

Naccarato is 3-1 against HSC as starting quarterback, Nance is 1-2 against RMC.  Advantage, Naccarato!
