Naccarato is 3-1 against HSC as starting quarterback, Nance is 1-2 against RMC.  Advantage, Naccarato!

2 ODAC Championships for Nance 0 for Naccarato. Advantage Nance.

What do you think the HSC seniors (and fans) will remember in 25 years?  Losing to RMC in convincing fashion (being beat in all phases of the game), or backing into a Championship when they may be the fourth or fifth best team in the conference.  I think that several HSC guys this morning would rather have the RMC win than a less than stellar or convincing ODAC championship.  I suspect that GC, EHC, BC, or even RMC would fare better next week than HSC.
I'm rooting for the Tigers this week.  Hope they get their swagger back this week!
I'm wishing HSC good luck as well, I'm simply disappointed that the best team is not going to represent the ODAC next week, especially based on the play during the last three weeks.

25 years from now?  I'm thinking since all of the "The Game" t-shirts RMC players own will have faded out they won't have much to remind them. The HSC players can all look at the hand and see 3 ODAC Championship rings.

HSC plays to win the ODAC. Pedro woke up this morning and reset his "Days til We Play HSC" countdown clock.

Just so you know I don't have a clue as to who "The Game" 25 years ago. I'd have to look it up.

H-SC is playing next week. There isn't a team in the ODAC that wouldn't trade with them right now. Good luck Tigers. Represent us well.

How did the Quakers get so much better in one week? last week they lost to the Tigers now they are the best team in the ODAC?

The Quakers lost on the road in overtime. It's not really a stretch to say they were about equal to the Tigers last week. Are they the best team in the ODAC? Doesn't matter. H-SC got the win when they needed it. Besides, the better question is how did H-SC get so much worse one week to the next? They played with and eeked out a win over a good Guilford team and then were thoroughly cowed and dominated at home by a mediocre AT BEST R-MC.

In one week, GC dominates a very good 8-1 team and HSC is dominated by a 4-5 team.  But, it's more the last three weeks, GC and BC are the two best teams and HSC loses badly twice and went to OT in the other!  Not the best way to end the regular season, but hopefully they prove me wrong next week.

Well the committee gifted H-SC last year. This year they took it away. No complaints, H-SC has 3 losses and that makes for bad playoff juju. The only limited whine the ODAC could have is CNU got a better draw at Delaware Valley despite the H2H. Oh well.

But it doesn't count when HSC also dominated that same 8-1 team, back when they were 5-0?

I also forgot to mention that Favret probably had bad gameplans  in your losses. He refuses to run the ball.
Well that is one thing we can definitely agree on. I could not tell you how frustrating it is to see him stick to his guns when it is just not working, especially when we were averaging something like 8 yds a carry

Spoken like a true Macon fan!

As a member of the 2014 ODAC Champion Tigers, I can tell you that you are wrong. Luckily, we at H-SC do not think like you all do. Obviously, we would like to have won The Game, but our seasons are dedicated to winning ODACs and competing on the national level. We begin thinking about macon on November 9th, and stop thinking about Macon on november 15th while you all count down the days until you play us. It's a different kind of kool-aid that you all drink in Ashland. You hate us because Pedro tells you that we don't do things the right way, that we aren't as dedicated as you all, and that is fine, but you are wrong in that I would not rather have the RMC win over a "less than stellar or convincing ODAC championship". I am no longer thinking about Macon, nor will I be cleaning out my locker tomorrow. Instead, this morning I thought about how great it is that I get to spend another week with my teammates, regardless of what has happened or will happen.

In 25 years, I will be looking at my three ODAC championship rings proudly displayed in my home. Unfortunately for you all, a game ball trophy cannot be worn on one's hand. My 115 teammates and I will have our 2014 rings forever, and we will proudly wear them when we return to future editions of The Game.

What will RMC players and fans remember in 25 years? Beating H-SC in a "convincing fashion" in 2014, or Going 3-1 against H-SC, yet NEVER winning an ODAC championship or making a playoff appearance? They will hate H-SC for the rest of their lives because they will have nothing to show for having beaten us. Our rings say "ODAC champs", not "we beat Macon". This is what sets H-SC and RMC apart, for we simply think and act differently.

Congratulations on your victory in The Game. Enjoy cleaning out your lockers tomorrow as it is always a bittersweet day. Luckily for me, I will be practicing with my team this week, and soon, I will get sized for a ring.

Congrats on the Quakers win on Saturday. Obviously the Quakers came to play and the results reflect that. I hope you were able to attend. Congrats on a very good season.

Jk

I picked your Generals this past weekend and I finally got it right. Good way for a very young team to finish the season. I'm sure 2015 will be a better year.

HSC won the ODAC but not the way thyey wanted to, but I'm still proud of them. HSC gets the best shot from every odac team they face and thats a compliment to the HSC program. RMC was certainly the best team this past Saturday and having watched it I really have a hard time understanding how they lost five games, but it is the odac.  With three losses, I'd say the trip to Wesley is pretty much earned. Good luck and congrats to the Tigers.
I don't like post calling out certain positions, etc. Really nothing to be gained. They win as a team/lose as a team. I'm certain every player is giving it their best effort or they would not be on the field. Wesley may very well be the best team in the country this year and its an honor to be able to play them. HSC needs to get some players healthy, so lets hope that happens and lets hope HSC represents the odac well.

Thanks, tfa.  My goal was to see all ten games this season for the first time (I think my previous record was 8) and I did see the first nine games in person, but, then, the "invitation" came in the mail for my identical twin grandsons' first birthday party at 11 am in Winston-Salem.  Clearly, my daughter-in-law, an alumna of football-less UNC-A, does not consult the football calendar.  I would probably be labeled the world's worst grandfather if I had chosen the GC/E&H game instead of the boys.  I did get home to Greensboro in time to watch the 2nd half on E&H's very good online feed.  You're right, the Quakers did come to play ... I was a little worried after the OT letdown in Farmville last week.

Good luck to the Tigers ... represent the ODAC well!

I can't say enough how impressed I am with Coach R at Guilford. Sure he's still trying to get over the H-SC hump, but the coaching and recruiting job he has done the last few years is nothing short of impressive. I really figured Guilford would have a letdown game. It's so common after leaving it all on the field the week before and not getting it done. But somehow those kids and that staff did an amazing job getting the Quakers ready to play again.

I think Coach Newsome will get COY, and he's worthy. But if you are looking for a coach that has done the most over the last few years, I'd put that tag on Coach R. Congratulations to all the teams tied at the top of the conference. Truly a conference season hard fought.

How did the Tigers get so much worse in one week?  I'm not sure who's saying the Quakers are the best team in the ODAC ... with a four-way tie for first, it's certainly debatable.  The "best" team in all sports often loses a one-game head-to-head on a given day ... just look at 15 over 2 uspets in March Madness.  If, however, they played a best 4 out of 7 ala the NBA, I think the best team would prevail.  That's the beauty of many college sports (college baseball may be an exception) ... there are always these "one-shot" games.  It's the stuff of legends.  It was a great ODAC season!  So much more interesting than the BC dominance of 10-14 years ago.  Don't you agree?
