Most of you HSC posters defend your team (which you should)

It's not hard to defend the Tigers (and see your post as the rant of someone with a personal issue), given that HSC, over the last 6 years, is 49-17 and has made 5 trips to the NCAAs.

It's really hard to know what you're talking about when you talk of a "decline", given that the Tigers are 16-7 over the last 2 years, played 3 NCAA Tournament games during that time, and 4 of their 7 losses are to top-notch non-conference opponents like CNU (lost to the them last year, but beat them this year), Linfield, Wabash, and Wesley.  All four of the teams I've just mentioned are going into the second round of the NCAAs next week.

Three of Nance's 6 picks were on short throws. The first was intercepted 3 yards from the LOS and returned for a TD. The 2nd interception was an intercepted screen pass 9 yards behind the LOS.  The 3rd was another screen intercepted 7 yards behind the LOS and again returned for a TD.  The other 3 picks were balls thrown over 20 yards.

We love Nash Nance but yesterday was not his day.  He's such a class act and great guy. He's got brighter days ahead whether or not he ever throws another TD. He's a HSC Hall of Fame QB.

The "Game" 60 wins and counting...

I concur with this statement 100%.

Give credit to the Tigers, after being snowed under after the 1st quarter, they fought hard all day long. Was impressed that your o-line did a good job protecting Nance, but he didn't have any weapons to go to.  You could tell that Wesley was just sitting back in zone waiting for the picks.

Here's a good question for you Tiger folks. Would you take Nance or Callahan? I suppose I know your answer, but, me thinks Callahan all week and twice on Saturdays!

Best of luck getting ready for next year. Off seasons suck.

That's a rediculous question. I cannot imagine anyone from Wesley wanting anyone but the QB they have. No one at HSC would want anyone but Nance.  I bet if roles were reversed yesterday and the QBs switch teams the results would not have been much different.

He was out for the game, as was arguably our top defensive player in John Moore.
Real shame both guys couldn't play. Everyone knows how great of a player Walker is but Moore has been a stud for HSC for years as well. That's another big loss and having playing against Sydney the last few years I would say there's not much of an argument about Moore being the best Sydney defensive player. Personally thought he was the best last year as well

Congrats on the victory. You guys have a very good team and play with a lot of class.
Good luck, going forward and bring home the trophy. I've never seen that kind of speed at the D3 level.
Not at Linfield, no where we've ever been.

Thanks tigerfanalso.  This is the fastest team I have seen since I started watching them in 2005.  I also travel all over the east coast to see games and have seen nothing close to this speed.  If all goes well next year the plan is for me to take a trip to "The Game" at Macon next year.   A friend of mine went to Macon and told me I need to get to it one year, so next year makes sense to me.  I also will have to get to Sydney one of these years, I have friend who went to Bridgewater so maybe I will add that game to my travels next year.  I am really hoping that when I go to the Stagg Bowl this year Wesley is there.

One of my friends since middle school went to HSC and he is hoping to see Wesley at the stagg this year. We're tired of seeing the same old faces there when we make the trip to Salem.

Let me know when you're coming to HSC and I'll take good care of you.

If Wesley or another East/South team makes it, I will be there this year.

If it is UWW vs. MU again I'll find an excuse to be somewhere else. Obviously two great programs but I'm just really tired of the same two teams playing in Salem. Not good for D3 football but until Wesley or someone steps it up a notch I guess I will continue to be bored with the National Championship game.

I think Wesley as good as they are lacks the kicking game to win it all. It was cold and breezy the other day and their punting was by far the worst we'd seen all year. I don't think it's going to be 75 and no wind anywhere they play this year.  All the Wesley folks chalk up their going 2 - 15 on 3rd and 4th down as they were not trying very hard as the game was a blow-out. I don't buy it.  They also had 13 penalties.  They will need to clean up the rough edges if they are going to win it all or even get by MU.

and they can probably say HSC is the worse they've seen all year; lets face it; up 42 to 0 is first quarter not a whole lot of emotion left in the tank. Kinda go through the motions with not much fire in the belly.

Will be interesting to see how many kids from HSC get picked first team odac. Given they way we won the odac my bet is not many. Without naming names, how many will be named first team? My bet is no more than four, five tops and this includes both sides of the ball and specialty teams.
