I wonder if they gave that same deal to Tulane?  ::)

Somehow I seriously doubt that option was available for Sewanee, Tulane, or Georgia Tech. But, especially for Sewanee, it's fun to think about.

Just a quick reminder ... ODAC pick 'ems are up and ready for all those who want to join us. There are two Friday games this week so picks (or two of them, at least) are due by 6:00 Friday night. Hope to see all our returning players, plus lots of new ones as well.

Catholic won the Orange Bowl in 1936. I remember seeing the game ball in a trophy case. Any other current D3s win a modern day major bowl back in the day?

Western Reserve (now part of CWRU) beat Arizona St in the Jan 1941 Sun Bowl, 26-13. One of the stars for the Red Cats was Steve Belichick, father of Bill, who donated to name the new weight room after his dad.

Looking forward to the trip to VA.  Hope the weather holds.

Good luck to both teams.

Thank you, Pat.  I was struggling with the alignment ... I appreciate the assist. +1

It's interesting how close it's been. Then bam 52-0 last year. I think a similar score again this year.

Alright gentlemen, need to double check the particulars for Saturday.  Cash ($10?) to park and no ticket cost?  Do I have that correct?

That's what it was for the Guilford game at Hampden-Sydney last November 8 - not a bad deal if you have multiple people in a vehicle.  I'm sure the Tigers will have a lot(s) set up for LG fans - usually around the Fleet Center which is down the hill a short distance from the football field.  Hope you have a great time!

$10 for a car. If you are coming in a bus or some other "oversized" vehicle it costs more but I can't remember what the prices are off the top of my head. If you don't get there pretty early expect to be waiting in line for a while.

W&L opens tonight at home with Averett. Here's hoping it goes better than last year. I do believe this team will be better and these first three games are all home and all winnable. If the Generals get off to a good start it could set the tone. I have no doubt that early close losses in all 3 OOC games last year set the tone especially as injuries mounted.

Good luck, Generals!  Get the ODAC off to a good start tonight!

I usually pull for USAC teams OOC, but I hate Averett with a passion. Here's to your Generals, JK.

Geez. I didn't know anyone hated Averett. It's actually one of those schools, despite the proximity, I'd never heard of until the first time W&L played them. Other than the crap facilities and non-existent admissions criteria (88% acceptance? What did the other 12% do, spell their names wrong?), what's the problem?
