Hasa, if you're ever down watching a CNU game take the extra time to visit the Black Angus. You won't regret it.

Gone already?

Probably afraid someone would figure out who he was or what his axe grinding was all about. Anyone get the email address? A .edu perhaps?

Nothing so obvious, no.

Thanks, I'll keep it in mind.

Quakers over Methodist 41-7 at the half in Fayetteville.

W&L easily handles Sewanee. Takes a 21-0 lead into halftime and came out flat to win sloppy 28-10. Too many fumbles, 3 with all 3 lost, and a few bad penalties, but not a bad effort. Sewanee never really threatened in this game as both teams played strength on strength, option running versus run defenses, in Lexington with a lot of familiarity. Still, the second half will give a lot for W&L to work on heading into Apprentice in two weeks.

55-7 Final. Liberal substitution in 2nd half.

CMR

Hey, Coach, here's a suggestion, find a new special team's coach.

I plan to make the drive to Fayetteville Saturday to watch the Quakers and the Methodist Monarchs.  If life cooperates, my goal is to attend all 10 (or more!) games this season.  I almost made it last year ... had the first nine under my belt, then my daughter-in-law scheduled a 1st birthday party for my twin grandsons at 11 am in Winston-Salem on the same day the Quakers were playing at E&H at 1 pm.  I could see getting the "World's Worst Grandfather Award" if I screwed that one up!  The cake was delicious, the twins were cute and the Quakers won, so it's all good!  :)

As a fairly new grandpa myself (16 and a half months and just under one month), I congratulate you on your wisdom in NOT making the tenth game!  But have you discussed with DIL about the timing of the SECOND birthday party of the twins? ;D  (The twins are still too young to notice if the party is off a week or two! ;))

I did bring it up.  It's a home game this year, but hope she doesn't have it at 1 pm.  lol

I just woke up and realized football is about....well good for you Hasa. 2-0 is not too bad so far.

I hope the Tigers fairly convincing win tonight quells the "seems like a weaker-than-usual Hampden-Sydney team" talk. The HSC defense looks better than last year's by a mile and the young guns on offense will continue to gain confidence.

UrbanSaban was right, HSC did not hang 40 on CNU. They didn't need too.  It was cool to see Coach arrive in a stretch limo and using a stick to draw plays in the mud right before the game (sarcasm).  I am generally the one who has to eat his words. Not tonight. Big win for our talented and very hungry Tigers.

Scots13

Well, this week of game is over for us eastern time zone guys, so it's officially E&H week for my MC Fighting Scots. Sept 19th, 6pm in the hell hole officially recognized as Emory by the Commonwealth. Can't wait to head west from Farmville Saturday morning and have a few beers in the parking lot that afternoon.

MC is due a win in this series. Since the series was started back up, we've had our chances and blew it. (Plus, we need our chance to prove not all USAC teams are as bad as Averett, Greensboro and Company.)

Wally, wishful thanking that HSC will score 40 against the Captains on Saturday. The last time Marty "Sarkisian" Favret went down there after 72 passes and 7 turnovers they mustered 7 points and that was with his transfer QB and a much better team. Don't worry HSC faithful, I'm sure Marty finalized his solid gameplan yesterday evening over a 30 pack of Busch on the tailgate of his truck.
Welp...

Highly likely he is @yortdeer on Twitter (has his name as sdeert). Tweeted at us with the Sarkisian and beer stuff, other frequent topics of discussion on there include football and antagonizing women and porn stars. Likely a current employee or alum of Heritage High School in Lynchburg given who he follows and who follows him. Likely a HSC graduate and/or former employee, highly probable current or former member of the HSC golf team given that he follows HSC golf on there, and nearly every single human that follows the HSC golf Twitter account is a former or current golf team member. Also follows several SEC related users, which would line up with the UrbanSaban username on here. Apparently a big fan of Oklahoma Sooner sports.
