Thanks Hasa. Should be ok for the Generals, but you've got to play them on the field. Slow week for the ODAC before conference play opens. Guilford isn't going to get any stubbed toes during the bye week are they? Wouldn't mind something slowing your boys down a bit before they slam into Lexington...
I hope no "stubbed toes", but there was what may be a key injury in the Averett game.  Senior RB Josh Schow was carted off the field in the second half with what appeared to be a knee injury.  Not sure of his status.  Josh had scored two TDs against the Cougars and did not return to the game.  He and De'Eric Bell have been a formidable 1-2 running punch to complement the Quaker passing attack.  Hope #27 is not out for the season!

No. We don't want any real injuries. That's never something to wish for.

Stubbed toes is just about right. Niggling annoyances to slow your boys down for exactly one game, or at least to slow them down from chasing down that long ball behind the W&L defense! I'd much rather see #27 on the field and have him score over and over than have a kid miss a game or season for injury.

Sat next to a young man at the B-SC game weekend before last making an alternative tape angle for the coach. Was a great young man and we chatted most of the game. Poor guy got hurt early in camp and was going to miss his whole junior season. Never want to see that happen...

JK I watched the game last night. It was an impressive win. The production value was so bad I'm shocked ESPN allowed their name on it.
Hampden Sydney College
ODAC Champions 77, 82, 83, 87, 07, 09, 11, 13, 14
NCAA Playoffs - 77, 07, 09, 10, 11, 13, 14
The "Game" 60 wins and counting...
11/18/2018 Wally referred to me as Chief and admitted "I don't know about that!"

Funny how the replays were 10x better than the live feed. On the other hand, you could clearly see the game, so I won't complain too much except about the missed plays during "commercials" and cutting off the last 1 minute of game time because it ran over the "allotted time".

Enjoy the off weekend. Hope to see u next week.

JK

Good luck to your Gennies

Hasa

Stop beating up the world. The Quakers are starting to look like bad people "running" up the score so badly on those poor USASA teams. I would say there is a 50% change your OOC schedule is getting ready to change because nobody wants to take the beatings GC is dishing out. Keep up the good work. I might visit the Gc vs. W&L game. I think that is going to be a good one.

Oh no, now there's a tfa2!  Just kidding - welcome.  I didn't dream we'd see some of the scores we've had ... and in the HC's defense, he's been subbing a lot about midway through the 3rd quarter.  In the Greensboro game, both the 2nd and 3rd string QBs had beautiful TD passes.  I've known all along the ODAC will probably be tougher, but the guys are definitely taking care of business so far.  As a long suffering alumnus and fan, I just want us to have a breakthrough season and top the school's 8 win plateau and, hopefully, get a postseason bid.  Both would be sweet!

I have a feeling your Quakers have a real opportunity this season. My Tigers will be ready come November so that game could be as exciting as last years game. In fact I think the Gennies will challenge you guys next week if they can keep your offense of the field with their run game. That game will be decided by your front 7, not so much by your offense. Good luck until we meet again !!!

jknezek

Despite being a running attack W&L's offense is more quick strike than clock hogging. I don't think we can keep Guilford off the field. The question is can we match them and make it a game of mistakes. But that is next week. First things first tonight.

W&L can't tackle. Power to the Builders, they are putting it to us with their power offense plays.

This game isn't really in doubt, but it's not pretty either. The refs have an impressive version of reverse home-cooking going on, but that doesn't really matter either. Wish W&L was cleaner coming out of the bye week. Apprentice has a running back who is a beast (Heiner?) and the QB has an arm like a cannon, but they just don't have enough horses despite the hot start and W&L's slop.

Apprentice's lines look shot at this point. Can't block anymore on offense, can't protect the punter (2 blocks in a row) and the defense is giving up chunks if W&L could go a play or two without a phantom penalty appearing.

Nice effort by the Builders for 2.5 quarters. Got to respect the effort.

W&L wins 56-21. Didn't see any major injuries for the Generals but I think a Builder or two didn't escape unscathed. Hopefully they will be fine. W&L will need to tackle much better starting next week. And an officiating crew that didn't dream up penalties would be nice.

Have a safe weekend everyone and go Wasps tomorrow.

Congratulations to the Generals ... a win is a win.  Looking forward to visiting Lexington next Saturday,

Looking forward in watching SU playing host to the Eagles of Bridgewater tonight in a homecoming game in Winchester.

Well Hasanova after all the "coachspeak" from jknezek (can't tackle, we can't etc etc) you would think your Quakes will rock in Lexington or they only have 11 players walking; he is trying to relax you.  He is trying the oldest trick doing the "down and out" and then exploding on you. :)

As someone who does not have a dog in the fight I hope everyone walks off the field.  :)
