If W&L can game plan to shut or offense down (two years in a row), why in the hell can't we game plan to at least slow them down ?
A game we have to win, we laid a golden egg in every aspect of the game; interception returned for TD, blocked PA returned as the Tigers watched it happen, no offense at all and a defense that totally cannot/did not slow down a team that rarely passes but did have a passing TD against our defense (probably the only passing TD W&L has had this year). You can't make this sh** up. This is my last rant for the season; just soooooo disappointed. Sounds like it was boys vs. men and that doesn't sit well with me.

Tfa your asking the wrong person. HSC never seems to play it their best against WL. In fact over past 10 years HSC has only held WL under 30 twice. 22 once and 29 the other. So this is not a new phenomenon.

WL just seems to have our number.

I know how that feels.  lol

I guess they do have our number. I get the fact that we can't slow their running game, most can't. However, W&L is not known to be dominant on defense but yet, HSC has only scored 13 points against them in 2 years. What's up with that ?

Well, on to E&H. Lets hope for the best and we'll see where the season takes us. If we get the win, great, just play hard for 4 quarters.

W&L vs. RMC should be a really good game. I might have to go watch up close and in person.

Predictions for this week;

RMC over W&L  35 to 24 (RMC run game will keep W&L offense on the sidelines)
SU over NNA by a lot
HSC over E&H  35 to 28 (Tigers will bounce back after the poor performance vs. W&L)
GC over BC   28 to 21.

How do you see the ODAC this week. I think I'm rolling over to RMC this weekend. I'll be pulling for your Generals.

W&L over RMC  35 to 28 -- I don't think RMC has the defense this year to hold W&L like last year
SU over NNA by a lot -- yeah. This probably won't be pretty. Lot of starters should get rested for Shenandoah
E&H over HSC -- at E&H I'm going to give the Stinging Insects a slight advantage based on what I saw last week, which was bad.
GC over BC   35-24 -- I'm wondering if last week can kick start the Quakers a bit. I think those first 2 ODAC games were a hangover for the beatings they took. Guilford's issues this season are significantly magnified by their money grab. A shame for the student athletes.

From what I hear, RMC OL is really big and good. That could cause problems for W&L's front 7. Hoping not, but if Macon controls the line, watch out.

I know HSC was not up to snuff last week, but they have played pretty well in prior games, I see them bouncing back as this game will pretty much decide if they are a factor or not. E&H has very little to play for other than pride, and I'm not certain they will be motivated.

All of my picks are probably wrong, again.

Ha... just look at my place in the pick'em this year... Grain of salt doesn't cover it. And yeah, I expect RMC to be really tough. But W&L's offense is just hard to stop without a bye week to plan for it. Now RMC did get Apprentice last week, so that may have been enough. RMC's offense has put up a ton of points the last 3 weeks but W&L's defense has been improving. E&H is the only team that has put up more than 30 on the first team in regulation. And I still have no idea how that happened.

Personally I hope RMC beats WL. If they do HSC once again controls their destiny.

Boy, so now HSC fans need to pull for a RMC victory ? That also makes me want to puke but if that is what the Tigers need I guess I'll stop breathing for a day or two and pull for a RMC victory. (Damn, this sux)

This W&L program might be turning into a machine. According to Jk they are both hurt and young; that does not bode well for the other ODAC programs going forward.

In some ways yes. The Generals are very beat up. And the players that have stepped up are young. But there are also some impact seniors still playing, especially in the LBs and secondary and along the oline. And with the size of the last 2 recruiting classes, I have a hard time envisioning a machine. Pretty much all of the first years need to stick around, and be impact players, to keep us rolling.

I am very happy to see the FY and Soph QBs stepping up the last 2 weeks. Senior Matt Sgro is a darn good starter, and had played a lot of football heading in to this year, but there was precious little experience behind him. Seeing 2 not just viable, but really strong options picking up the slack, something that is really necessary for this offense, is a good thing for Generals fans.

And Josh Breece has just been a beast. He is going to plague the ODAC for the next few years. Pair that with the two DL, one soph one FY who are having outstanding seasons and it shows there is a lot of strength in those two classes that are already not just getting time but making an impact.

Really, a lot depends on the incoming class for the next year or 2. We are going to need some bodies to add to the good ones, but low numbers, we've gotten the last 2 years.

Keep it quite. Pedro might lose on purpose if he knows HSC is pulling for the Yellowjackets.

Really?  These teams are terrible. Ranked 246 (Jacksonville) and 255 (Davidson) out of 255 by Saragin.com. I doubt either would be a top 25 D3 team.  Neither are any better than JHU or UWP.

Terrible or not, they both put a licking on Guilford. A team that had shown some good promise at Huntingdon and, like most teams, mauled Methodist, then stumbled for 2 games before dominating Shenandoah. Something odd happened. Whether it was confidence or nicks or just a loss of momentum, those games weren't good for Guilford. I'm thinking a couple of DIII games where they didn't feel like the underdog, or weren't on the road the first 4 weeks of the season, probably would have set them up better for the conference games.

You mean like last year where they played a D3 non-conference schedule and went 1-6 in ODAC or the year before when they went 9-1 and played a D3 non-conference schedule and missed the playoffs because of it.

I know I'm being a smartass but I just don't see it the way you do. Are Davidson and Jacksonville better than most D3 teams?  Yes. But certainly NOT teams that are bigger, faster, stronger just because of their NCAA designation.
