anybody but Macon !!!!
Sound like the state of North Carolina.  We have two types of fans:  UNC and ABC.  The first, of course, is for the University of North Carolina and the second is "Anybody But Carolina"!

I was an ABC guy during the Dean Smith days; not so much anymore, in fact found myself actually pulling for UNC to win the championship last year. I knew UVA was not going to win, so I decided to pull for the ACC which justified my willingness to pull for UNC.

D1 basketball is in a terrible state (my opinion) and I will not be watching much of it going forward other than an occasional UVA game. In fact, I dislike to 3 point shoot sooooooo much, I don't watch much b'ball period.

The problem with the elite programs is no one stays a full 4 years.  Also, a problem is the amount of money and exposure ... pressure to succeed creates the temptation for abuse.  I'm embarrassed at the inquiry at UNC and equally chagrinned that they got off with little to no consequences.  Then, there's Louisville ...

Auburn too. With 'Player 1' and 'Player 2' now suspended they lost to DII Barry in their exhibition game last night. SMH

Well... if you are a fan of ODAC football you got what you wanted. Only W&L controls their destiny outright. Anything else is dependent on Shenandoah winning.

Here are the scenarios, I think. I'll take any corrections!

1) If W&L wins, they are 5-1 and win the conference because the only other team that can get to 5-1 is H-SC, and W&L holds the tiebreaker. The Game is irrelevant.

2) If Shenandoah wins, both Shenandoah and W&L are 4-2. If RMC wins The Game, RMC and H-SC are both 4-2. So you will have 4 teams tied at 4-2. W&L (wins vs RMC and H-SC, loss to Shenandoah) and Shenandoah (wins against W&L and RMC, loss to H-SC) will both be 2-1 against the tied teams, so RMC (win against H-SC, loss to W&L and Shenandoah) and H-SC (win against Shenandoah, loss to W&L and RMC) will be eliminated. Shenandoah will have beaten W&L, so Shenandoah will win the conference.

3) If Shenandoah wins, both Shenandoah and W&L are 4-2. If H-SC wins The Game, H-SC is 5-1. H-SC is the outright conference winner.

So, we have 3 teams still in contention. W&L needs a win. Shenandoah needs a win and an RMC win. H-SC needs a win and a Shenandoah win. I believe RMC is eliminated. Can someone prove me wrong? Here are my links for tiebreaker info:

You're right it's a 3 way race and that RMC is definitely eliminated.

I want the to give a couple of shout outs to a couple of HSC players. The last two weeks Alec Cobb has thrown for 61/86 813 yards and 8 TDs while throwing just 1 int. That's a QB efficiency rating of an amazing 178.71. WR Cam Johnson has caught 25 passes for 334 and 3 TDs. Most importantly together they've helped lead HSC to two victories that gives them a chance at ODAC title.

I believe you're right, jknezek.  Thanks for laying it all out and providing the links!

If W&L beats Shenandoah and RMC defeats HSC, then the Generals are the ODAC champions. If W&L beats Shenandoah and HSC defeats RMC, then the Generals and Tigers are co-champs, with the Generals going to the NCAAs.  If, Shendandoah beats W&L and HSC defeats RMC, then the Tigers are the ODAC champs.  If Shenandoah and RMC win, then there are 4 co-champs, and Shenandoah will be going to the NCAAs.

Makes my head hurt trying to grasp all the scenarios.

The way I see it the Generals hold their own destiny. Everyone else is dependent on a General's loss.

HSCTiger fan

HSC lost "The Game" in '14 and won the title.  That cannot happen this year. Whoever wins the ODAC this year has to win this Saturday. Lose and it's over. Win and you will or might play another day.

The WL and SU game features the nation's #1 passer and #8 rusher.  The #3 passing offense vs. the #2 rushing offense.

The RMC and HSC game features a 120 year rivalry between 2 teams that strongly dislike each other (hate is just a bad word). It's the HSC seniors' last chance to beat Macon and RMC seniors' have a chance for a clean sweep.

Should be an exciting weekend.

While the Generals are the only team who control their own destiny with regard to going to the NCAAs, it's still meaningful to win an ODAC championship ... and the Tigers control their own destiny with regard to winning an ODAC championship.  With a win over Macon, they will finish as ODAC champs or co-champs with a 5-1 ODAC record and can rightly claim at least a piece of the title.  Not a small accomplishment, even if the title is shared!

Check the NCAA stats on d3football. No. 1 passer in the country is DiAngelo Fulford of Mount Union. No one else is even close. Just thought I'd set the record straight. Good luck to your team.

In fairness it depends on how you define #1. Is it by passing yards, or completions, or completion percentage, or efficiency rating.
Bauserman (I hope i got it right) has ridiculous numbers. Fulfords don't even come close in terms of yards. But SUs guy has thrown 308 more passes / 165 more completions for 1365 more yards. The number that matters to me however is TDs. SUs QB and Fulford both have 39TDs...and Fulford has 1 INT. Fulford has only thrown 158 passes all year with 119 completions (75%). SUs QB is at 466 attempts (mind boggling) and 284 completions (61%).

Anyway - sorry to bog your board with OAC. Good luck to all in post season.

The leading rusher is the player that has the most rushing yards.  Why would the leading  passer not be the player that leads the nation in passing yards?  And for the "record", l did check and you're right it's not close.  Bauserman leads Fulford by nearly 1400 yards!

I agree it is by passing yards, rushing yards, etc.. But it seems every school likes to claim the "top passer" for some reason or another. Hey oour guys #1...in percentage......Our guys #1 passer in TDs....is what it is. Like I said the SU QB has some off the chart numbers. Impressive.
