I've never seen TigerFan mad or even pissed off. Classic case of being too sensitive to his comments.
Good luck to UMU; I'm sure you are heading to at least another semi final appearance if not another championship.

Thanks TFA I have actually been both but it takes a lot more than a football message board.

I had a busy weekend, so little time to post until now.  Congratulations to Saturday's ODAC winners ... and special congratulations to RMC over GC, 38-22, which is the game I saw.  Disappointed for my Quakers who came out somewhat flat in my opinion, but kudos to the Yellow Jackets for their game plan and execution.  When it's 28-0 in the second quarter, the Homecoming crowd is not a factor.  On to E&H and hopes to finish 5-5 although I am concerned to count 17 injured Quakers on the sidelines in warm-ups rather than uniforms.

How did RMC look ? Did they just beat the Quakers up or did GC make mistakes ? I'm looking for a scouting report !!!!

In one way, tfa2, the stats appear fairly equal, but in all fairness, I think RMC outplayed GC.  The Quakers made some mistakes:  a key interception on a tipped ball and a couple of untimely penalties, but all in all RMC played better.  Their offensive attack was more run oriented (308 yards to 112 passing) than Guilford (51 run/405 pass), but the overall yards were in GC's favor (456/420).   Both had 70 plays with RMC 58:12 run to pass and GC 24:46.  Third down conversion is where I think the Yellow Jackets beat us.  They were 6 of 12 and the Quakers were 5 of 15.  Not surprising considering the run/pass ratios, but RMC held the ball 36m14s to 23m46s for GC.  My advice is get ready to stop the run.

Thanks Hasa.

an interesting stat; in the three defeats to CNU, UWP & W&L. Mike Demasi (RB) touched the ball 12 times vs. CNU/11 times vs. UWP/15 times vs. W&L.
In the 6 victories(not including the NNA game) he touched it 18 times/30 times/27 times/24 times/32 times/18 times. Something to be said for a balanced attach.
Hopefully he'll get it 25 times vs. RMC. If HSC is forced to throw the ball all day, it will be a very long day for HSC fans.

Hard to run when you're behind.

In the conference RMC ranks 3rd in rushing ypg given up, but 5th in passing ypg. Shenandoah, the best passing offense in the league, poured the points on RMC, W&L, the best rushing offense, struggled to put up a few. The stats indicate you might be better off attacking RMC through the air.

good points but if we can't run vs. RMC, OL and QB are going to have a very long day. Seen it too many times; plus cold and windy on Saturday

It's 2 really interesting games this weekend.

W&L at Shenandoah showcases the best rushing offense versus the 4th rushing defense, and the best passing offense vs. the second best pass defense (all stats ypg -- and obviously open to change after this game!). It showcases the first (SH) and third (WL) scoring offenses vs the first (WL) and fifth (SH) defenses by points allowed. It showcases the most intercepted team (SH), and the third most interceptions taken team (WL). We have the tied for most fumbles lost team (WL -- especially after last weekend's debacle) and the t-4th most fumbles recovered team (SH). And we have the second (WL) and third (SH) least penalized teams.

The Game also showcases some interesting stats. You have the team with the last penalties per game (RMC) vs the team with the 5th most (HSC). The second most points scored (RMC) vs. the second least (HSC). The second best passing team (HSC) vs the second best rushing team (RMC). The third team in total offense (RMC) vs the 6th team (HSC). The best team in 3rd down conversions (RMC) vs the third (HSC). The best team in Red Zone percentage (RMC) vs the team tied for worst (HSC). The second best defense in yards allowed (HSC) vs the fourth (RMC). The best rushing defense (HSC) and the third best rushing defense (RMC). The fourth (HSC) and fifth (RMC) best passing defenses.

Honestly you look at these stats and these games should be great match ups. Fortunately the games aren't won by the stats. The games, and the conference, will be won on the field.

the hell with conference title; give me a victory in The Game. Been along time coming. I don't see SU beating W&L but I do see HSC beating RMC 35 to 28. Our offense has been really good the last two weeks, meaning it has been balanced thereby keeping the defense honest. Offense has been really bad in only two games (CNU, W&L) and has been ok to really good the balance of the schedule.

It's funny, when I was looking at the stats I was thinking the same way. It seems like it will be W&L's strength versus Shenandoah's weakness almost across the board. But then I remembered the Generals put the ball on the ground 9 times last weekend and lost 5 of them. If Bridgewater wasn't putrid on offense, and W&L's defense hadn't stepped up to the task, that would have been a different game.

I can tell you this, if W&L turns the ball over to Shenandoah's offense, the Hornets will make the Generals pay. Big time. W&L needs to use that vaunted clock management offense and just grind Shenandoah's defense into the dust from the get go. Falling behind will not be an option. Get a few stops, and it should go W&L's way. I expect Shenandoah will march up and down the field, the test for W&L will come in forcing them to go the whole field and not get short fields or long passing scores.

Anything can happen but SU's defense is not very good. If W&L executes/holds on to the ball, I see a two score victory 42 to 28.
If W&L repeats last week performance(fumbles) it will be a long day for the Generals. Cold and windy on Saturday, could be W&L's best defense.

No surprise the ODAC is 0-2 on making the Regional Rankings. I have to think W&L is probably team 11 at this point, but we'll never know.

tigerFanAlso2

Jk

Hopefully the ODAC will earn more respect next year.

My predictions for week 11 are;

GC over E&H    35 to 24
HSC over RMC  35 to 28 (just because it's time for a HSC victory)
W&L over SU    45 to 28
Wash U over BC  35 to 21
