GC completed an unbelievable pass to the 15 with less than a minute to play.  Putting themselves in great FG position only to throw a terrible screen pass for an INT on the next play!  Wow!

HSC DOMINATED today! Cobb broke HSC record for passing yards with 514!

WL looked well below average today while RMC looked very very good!  TOP WL 20 to 40 for RMC!  WL only ran 41 plays.

That was all the games I could watch.  HSC on the  Ipad (Mirrored to the big screen), GC  on the iPhone and WL on the Mac.
Heartbreaking loss for the Quakers for Homecoming.  I thought we were going to win ... all we had to do was get the ball to the center of the field and kick a FG.  Terrible screen pass across the line of scrimmage caught by a DL.  Our QB will learn from this ... take a knee or throw an incompletion.  Congratulations to BC ... sometimes you get unlikely wins and sometimes you get inexplicable losses.

Tough schedule ahead for GC.  On the road this Saturday at RMC then home on Thursday night for Ferrum.  The Panthers are not scheduled this weekend and have extra days to rest and game plan.  Not impossible, but not the most ideal scheduling either for the Quakers

Yes this was a tough one. Much easier to accept the loss if GC has missed a FG. If you watch the play the DT had been knocked down only to get up right in front of the pass. No one more shocked than he was to see the ball. I'm sure the GC QB will learn a valuable lesson but why does a team with a stud at RB run such a play at this time?  It was a bad called play,  I am sure Coach R is blaming himself. Please take out your frustrations on RMC this weekend!

Kind of surprised the HSC QB did not make Team of the Week. What more can one do ?

Did you see what the guy we picked did, though? Those were both great performances. There were actually three nominees this week which completed more than 90 percent of their passes.

I did, the one picked had a great game but so did our guy and you know I'm going to pull for our guy.

Well, when you ask what more can he do, I would just point to what the guy we picked did. That's what he can do. :)

De'Eric Bell had five TDs versus Methodist, but a RB for UMHB had six the same day versus Albright ... it's all about timing.  Six > five.  I know how you feel, but I understood.

I'm not all caught up in individual awards as f'ball is the ultimate team sport, but Cobb's performance was certainly worthy of consideration. You are going to see too many performances better than one he had on Saturday. Just hoping there is much more of that left in his tank. He is track to have a really good year.

Cobb threw for 70 more yards, 3 more TD passes and ran for one more than the QB chosen. Completing 90 percent for 450 and 2 tds is impressive but not as good as accounting for 36 points and 519 yards of offense.

Sorry -- as I re-reviewed the spreadsheet, I was looking at the wrong line. Cobb also threw 14 more passes, so he was going to throw for more yards, even if he completed 67% instead of 90%. But Davidson had more yards per attempt. (Note that they both completed the same number of passes, but Davidson was 37-for-41 instead of 37-for-55.) Rushing yards not a factor.

If we are looking at this based yards per attempt. Then you need to also consider TD passes. Your guy had 1 TD every 20.5 passes. Cobb had a TD every 11 attempts.  Scoring TDs is much more important than yards per attempt.

It really does not matter. HSC fans everywhere are very proud of Cobb.

Jake Kennedy threw for 7 TDs.  Canaan Gebele threw two and ran for five more.  That was all in the same game.  They didn't get on the team either.  Lot of good performances out there, but there can be only one QB on the TotW.
