Congrats to Hunter Taylor from EH for being named ODAC Offensive player of the week.  I want to repeat a shout out to Kaleb Smith for his remarkable performance against Guilford.  He was 30-214 rushing, 12 for 118 receiving, and 1-1 passing for 9 yards.  He averaged 7.93 yards every time he touched the ball!  He only had 1 TD vs. Taylor's 6 TD passes.  I assume that's why he was not given the recognition.  Spectacular performances by both!

Which HSC team is going to show up vs. Ferrum ?

Rain, windy conditions predicted. Probably not so favorable for us.

Ferrum has a really good running game, can HSC defense step up ?

I'm concerned about this one. Really tough last three gams for the Tigers.

Offensively hr Tigers have been clicking.  Even in loss to SU HSC scored 5 TDs.  It all about defense.  I agree next 3 weeks will be tough but it is November snd the Tigers are fighting for the ODAC!  I don't remember a rainy day the Tigers have lost is the past 10 years so bring on the rain!

not too worried about the rain, most of that will fall Friday, I'm concerned about the wind.

Final in Greensboro on Senior Day:  Guilford 40, W&L 3

In a bit of a surprise (the score, not necessarily the win), Guilford dominated this game on both sides of the ball.  De'Eric Bell had 202 all-purpose yards and 3 TDs to go with 27/38 passing and 303 yards for the Quakers.   The total yards and first downs were 484-178 and 23-12, respectively, but the most telling stat was the 5 Turnovers by the Generals ... 4 fumbles and 1 interception.

I think there was some pent-up frustration by the Quakers coupled with an almost nonexistent passing game by the Generals (they were 1/11 for 20 yards).

Anyway, I hope Guilford can play this well in our last two games at SU and E&H.  Good luck also to W&L ... today was not your day, but you are a good team.

Geez what a whooping. Good job to Guilford. Glad I was too busy setting up the motorhome for our local CampOWeen tonight to watch any of it. On to next week.

RMC with another impressive win today against E&H. Run game looked unstoppable. Due to Ferrum defeating HSC today, jackets could clinch the ODAC with a win against Ferrum next week.

Wish I could have watched the whole game, but I only saw the first 10-12 minutes, which were uneventful -- though the Jackets seemed to be driving when I had to turn off the computer. By the time I reached my destination amd checked the score it was 21-7. Great win. Congratulations.

It was.  GC scored on the opening drive and kept their foot on the accelerator, but W&L hurt themselves with TOs and no passing game.  It was our best all around game of the season and probably the worst for the Generals.

RMC may move up, but I think any mention of W&L with Top 25 votes is over for now.

I was in and out watching GC on the internet. My hats off to the GC Def players and staff. They had what look to be a sound game plan for the option, but lack of passing helped as well.

You are correct. No votes for W&L, 16 points for R-MC -- up from 10 points last week.

Thoughts on RMC hosting a playoff game this year? Is it feasible?

Hmm. Good question. But putting the cart before the horse. Ask again in two weeks. If the Jackets are 9-1 and some teams now getting votes stumble the chances might go up. But It's a 32 team tournament, right ? The Jackets received the 33rd most votes.this week. So at this point, not likely it seems to me.

Reminder for the newbies on the board, the field of the tournament is not the Top 32 teams, in D3football.com.

RMC can win the ODAC AQ bid outright, regardless of how many votes they receive in the poll.

Check the regional rankings this week to see if RMC is among the Top 4 teams in the South Region with respect to prospects of hosting a first round game.

With two weeks left in the season RMC has pretty much locked up the ODAC title. The only team that could win is HSC. RMC would have to lose their last two games while HSC would have to win their last two games.  Stranger things have happened. But this seems to be the Jackets' year. Then again Ferrum is a solid team and then they play "The Game". Neither should be easy. On the flip side HSC has to hope RMC loses then beat WL in Lexington and then beat RMC. HSC has not won in Lexington since 2013 and not beaten RMC at HSC since 2010
