Did you watch HSC vs. FC ? On my drive home I turned on the radio and listened to the 3rd quarter and what I was hearing made me want to puke.
I just don't understand how a decent team can play so poorly now for the 3rd time this year.

Hopefully they can get it right for the last 2 games, if not, RMC will rush for 600 yards and score 60 points against us.

If W&L plays like they did this weekend, you'll have plenty of chances to get right. I'm glad I didn't get a chance to see it. Looking at the box score was bleak enough. Completely dominated in every facet.

The W&L result was shocking. Just means they will play their best game of the year this coming Saturday. I'm not holding much hope for my Tigers in Lexington.

I am hopeful Guilford can finish strong.  There is a very fine line between their 3-4 record and 5-2.  We all concede losses to DI Davidson and to RMC, which clearly appears to be the best in the ODAC this season.  The losses to BC and HSC, however, could have gone either way.  The young Quaker defense and first year starting QB appear to be maturing as the season progresses.

What I think will happen even if we win out or if we win ODAC and lose at HSC will be that we get sent to Johns Hopkins for a rematch of the first game of the year.... we played a great 1st half only to fold in the second in that first game .... Anything is possible however if we win out but I seriously doubt we will host!

The committee is really unlikely to schedule a rematch if there are any other options available.

We will know more when the Regional Rankings come out. I just don't see RMC being ranked all that high. With UMHB and Berry undefeated, JHU, Centre, HSU and Muhlenberg all being one loss teams. JHU holds a h2h, Muhlenberg holds a better common opponent score, HSU has a better loss, and Centre is an overtime loss to Berry from being undefeated. That would stick RMC no higher than 7th in the region. And that leaves out W&J and CWRU who are also 1 loss teams and may be ranked higher than RMC. Going to be tough to host even at 9-1. 0-1 RRO is going to hurt. The rest of the ODAC picking up multiple losses is just no help at all, though the real killer was Averett losing to Maryville.

It's important to remember the only ODAC team to host in the last 8 years was H-SC, and that was a fluke of being the only team Maryville could travel to without a flight. While RMC will also be able to host Maryville, so can Berry. Even though Mville-Berry would be a rematch, it is likely to be Berry's only possible travel partner. RMC, on the other hand, can go to so many places to save the NCAA money...

Franklin is under 500 miles to Berry.  And I think that's the only other likely playoff team that can bus to Berry.  Franklin @ Berry would also make sense as far as seeding goes.  Where could Maryville go that makes sense....

499 miles to Frostburg.   :)

That's a lot of extra miles to avoid a Maryville/Berry game, but it's possible to get it done and do it in a way that makes sense with respect to bracket balance.  At least with the 4 teams we've talked about here.  It may not be so clean when we add 28 more teams.

If Macon wins the ODAC and finishes with 8-2 record, the ODAC champ will probably go some where much worse than JH.
Maybe you guys will get lucky as HSC did in 2013, 8-2 record and was able to host first round. All kinds of crazy things happened that year last game of season that set the stage for that to happen.

If it does happen I will ride over the Ashland to support you guys but not holding my breath on a repeat of 2013.

I guess this board is almost officially done for the season. Awful quite which I guess is what happens when one team is dominating.

Good luck to all for the coming weekend. Lets get through it with no injuries.

Well... as I said earlier in the week, that was about the best ranking RMC could expect. The committee likes their loss and SOS better than W&J, and CWRU is currently blocked by W&J h2h. Mildly surprised HSU is at 5, but Centre's SOS is strong and their loss was competitive.

Agreed.  The commentary helps give perspective, and I'm always very appreciative of that.
