Very nice write-up, and what sounds like a great hire. I'm especially happy that he was a defensive coordinator, as that seems to me to be an area that the Tigers could definitely improve on.

Good luck to Coach Luvara. Hoping he has many successful 9-1 seasons.

My lines for the semis

North Central (-13) at Wartburg - total 70.5

Cortland State at Randolph Macon (-17.5) total 56

Two pretty big favorites imo for Saturday. Do we break the all time attendance record in Salem if we get a North Central v Randolph Macon Stagg?

Looks like about a 3 hour drive to Salem from RMC.

I don't know but I doubt it. One of the Bridgewater Staggs got close, with over 8k. But that West Georgia - Augustana game that reported 9K in 1982 is a tough mark to beat. I'd be happy to see attendance back to 7-8K after a couple disastrous years and way too many in the 3s.

Salem Stadium capacity is 7,197 unless they add additional seating.

Would love to see a sellout but anything near even 6-7K would make for a big time environment.

Bummer. Great season though YellowJackets!

Beautiful weather, massive crowd, but a disappointing day for RMC football.  For the first time this season, RMC was dominated in the trenches.  Nothing went right for the Jackets.  Very proud what Coach and his team accomplished this year, looking forward to next year.

Wish I could have watched the game, but wasn't going to subscribe to ESPN+, even for a few hours, to do so. Did listen to Rob and Marty, who did their customary wonderful job calling the action and providing perspective on the game, the season and the progress of the program. I'm sure the coaching staff will do a thorough evaluation of that game and use lessons learned to help the program maintain the high standards now well established.

Congratulations on an outstanding season!

Was telling a fella standing next to me that Drew was not having his normal game.  The guy had no affiliation with RMC or Cortland.  Drew's passes were off, he could not scrabble or run effectively.  And, at the post game, Coach confirmed that Drew was playing hurt.   The outcome would not be different, but a more competitive game would surely have been if Drew were 100%.  He gave his all, and as an alum I greatly appreciate everything he did for RMC and the football program.

Saw this on X, RMC is the only DIII program to participate in the 'Final 4' in Football, Basketball, and Baseball over the last 7 years.  And, only one of four programs to accomplish this over the last 25 years.

RMC schedule announced: https://rmcathletics.com/news/2024/3/12/rmc-football-releases-2024-schedule.aspx

The accompanying article says this: "In 2024, each ODAC school will play one conference opponent twice. RMC drew Washington and Lee..."

Curious to know what is behind this decision, as opposed to schools having three non-conference games.
