Home field was not so "huge" for UMHB and their opponents last year.  Hardin-Simmons beat UMHB in Belton, and then was one of four home teams that lost to UMHB in the playoffs.   Methinks that talent and a little bit of luck can offset any home field advantage.

As I recall Massey gives one point and the LAZ index gave 3 points.  Also LAZ has a real interesting discussion on home field advantage on his website under Archives/History.

Just food for thought and I still hope to tailgate with the Bridgewater crowd once again.  ;D
Anything that you ardently desire, vividly imagine, totally believe and enthusiastically pursue will inevitably come to pass !!!

Skoal,

So what's on the tailgate menu that I can't eat this week?  Unfortionately I will be unable to attend.  Thank you BC for the schedule of training retreats.  Sorry to deprive the winner of the poker tounament my $10-$100+.  I wish I could be there... Anyway here's to a good time at Stone Station for all who can attend.  :)

Well, Friday night there will be Beef BBQ on bun with beer as a side.  Saturday, there will be Pork BBQ that has been cooked for 12 hours along with many sides and desserts.  Sorry you won't be able to make it.  Should be a good time and the money I win at Poker should be more than enough to pay for the tailgate!!!

You may actually make a profit in the future if I get desperate and buy back in several times.  I'll see ya'll at the George Mason game. :) 8)

I just talked to Kid and he said since he's got a new job at BC, he's down for a $200 buy in.....O.K. if I must...

Go BC!!!

B.C. 42  MC: 17  A**whoopin' coming!!!

Congrats B.C. Guys-

You have every right to be proud of your success.  We have every right to be hopeful for our future which we haven't been for a few years.  No matter how much we disdain the Eagles, we will always appreciate you kicking the poo out of HSC.  I hope you beat them by 100 points and Ricca pees down his leg again.

Best Player in the ODAC-Don't count out the Woods kid.  He did throw for 3000+ and 25 TD's as a Sophomore.  He did most of that playing from behind by multiple scores last year.  Hopefully that won't happen as much.  Still he gets this vote.

Good Luck this week E&H.
Good Luck vs. Mcdaniel BC nothing like hanging 50 on a club team to get you off on the right foot.

McDaniel is a D3 team from the CC.  They used to be called Western Maryland College.  George Mason is the club team.  We don't play them until week 4.

Ask the players who have had to go up against these guys, that would probably be the best way to settle this.

As an ex player(last year in 01)who's seen alot of tape and a few games in person I would have to say that out of the guys I've seen play Ricca and Bublavi are the best of the bunch.

Washington is a beast in the open field. However, and not to take anything away from the kid, he hasn't really had a chance to show skills other than athleting people. With only six carries a game it's a tough call. Never played against him but have seen him embarass alot of guys.

Ricca is a great talent and a bastard for not going to Catholic. Legs and a nice arm combined with Marty's Offense. He gets alot of chances to show what he is capable of and he is capable of alot.

Bublavi is the kind of kid who does not belong on this level. He is stronger and better than 99.99 percent of every guy or two or three that ever tries to conver him. Seen him get triple teamed and still make catches downfield and make it look easy. Might be different this year but he's been a waste of a great talent at CUA so far.

i can play some poker skoal.  i also want to see how you guys do it.  do i have an invite to the table?  let me know man.  i am willing to give up my friday nite to have much more fun beating you guys in poker.

bcsportswriter

cue player- first of all if u graduated in '01, you didnt play against any of these guys.  second of all, Ricca doesnt have "legs" and that point has already been made.  catch up before you make your first post

Pat Coleman

Then again, bcsportswriter, he never said he played against those players either, did he? Why are you taking him to task for something he didn't say?

Well now, isn't that the pot calling the kettle black?
