People who are judging HSC on the performance are on crack. Hypothetically(didnt see the game) HSC shut it down a little too early while looking ahead to the big matchup next week and then held on. It happens alot in college football.

Should be a good game down there with HSC maybe being a little hungrier than they have been in past year. Of course it would be nice to shut some of the BC guys who know nothing about football up. The knowledgable guys are great. The other guys need to just stick to being fans and not say anything sometimes.
Strictly as a fan it be nice to see someone else win the conference. Guess that just means I am a hater on the loose.

I take that back. I would just like to see the best team represent the conference and which ever team is the best is the team I hope to see win. Guess we won't see until Saturday.

NIce comeback by CUA btw. Seems like the cards are a good 2nd half team so far this year as they have been stingier and moving the ball better as the game progresses. It will be nice to see how they measure up against the heavy hitters down the line. So far its good to see us not getting outrun on sweep after sweep or bomb after bomb. They have the athletes this year. IMHO they will be much improved once they can do the little things right(limit penalties, cause more opportunistic turnovers, come out with some fire, make xps, etc...). One thing for sure is that they have some big play ability and some guys who are gone if you miss one tackle.

cuaplayer,
Shut some BC guys who know nothing about football up?  I think you will find that most of the BC fans will admit that HSC has a quality football team.  The game in Farmville this week should be a hard fought close battle.  I would give the edge to BC considering that the Egale offense can beat a team both on the ground and in the air.  Do I expect a high scoring game?  Sure.  The number 7 offense in D3 travels to play the number 1 offense.  I just expect the BC defense to make a key stop here or there.  This game will depend on a key turnover or penalty.

On a CUA note, they are improving.  After the Shenandoah game I knew that Catholic is much better this year than in recent years.  They took McDaniel team that beat BC at Jopson to overtime.

Wow, thought Presidents would win comfortably but not by more than last year.  And it could easily have been worse.  After W&J's first score, didn't really do much the rest of the first quarter.

While Edwards played well again, as did Krepps, and the rest of the offense, the defense held E&H to minimal yards rushing (49 of the approx. 55 yards came on two fake punt runs by Boyd--who punted 11 times in the game).

Thanks for the southern hospitality (all except the one ass't coach who copped an attitude about me needing to move a banner that wasn't mine.)  You'd think if you were going to be a jerk about something, you'd make sure you were being a jerk to the right person...wouldn't ya?
Been wrong before.  Will be wrong again.

Yeah, like "Coach Em Up" said, Krepps is your only weapon ;) LOL.

(I bet we never see that guy posting on here again.)

HSC didn't shut it down - their first team played the whole game.

Guilford played their hearts out and HSC had to just to win.  A joke.

Congratulations to Catholic on their big come-from-behind win.  You guys really hung in there.  Good job ...

That said, I think this game was more about the R-MC Yellowjacket football team finding a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory yet again.  The 'Jackets played some really opportunistic football in the first half and converted those CUA miscues into points early.  The offense looked really good in the first half.  In the second half R-MC started getting way too conservative and became very predictable apparently trying to sit on the 21 point lead they had. And, as I'm getting really disgusted with saying, once again the 'Jackets defensive coaches didn't think it necessary to spend much time rotating players in and out of the defensive line and by the end of the game it was obvious.  Rhone, Marshburn and Johnson on the defensive line and Farmer in the defensive backfield all left everything on the field and played really well.  The freshman defensive tackle was totally ineffective though with the exception of a couple of plays, getting blocked out of most plays.  I know there are others in reserve just as good if not better that should have been out there.  In my opinion and that of several others, the failure to rotate players much, especially on the line, cost the Jackets the game.  The conservative play-calling on offense in the second half hurt them too.   With the exception of maybe 10 plays, the starting D-line played the entire game.  And of those 10 plays, it was a couple of plays here, a couple of plays there for about 2 guys.  Fatigue causes stupid mistakes and there were plenty.  We had the game in our pocket and gave it away basically.  We could have, and should have, won this one.  This loss shouldn't be blamed primarily on the players.  This is going to be one heck of a long season ...  Again, congratulations to CUA for coming back for the big win. You hung in there and deserved it.

Tough Loss RMCJacketFan.  I understand your pain because when I was playing (87-90) we also had those same type of defeats.  Thus is D3 College Football.  Wouldn't trade it for the world but you are only human if you end up second guessing some of the calls.  Hang in there....You guys will be all right.

As for CUA, I can say that I'm very impressed over their last two weeks performance.  I just hope we have the conference wrapped up by then? (BC vs. CUA last game of the season for both: regular season that is)

Sorry I missed Stone Station this weekend at Bridgewater.  I heard it was a good one.  Randy Hoover did 5 beer chickens!  I'm sure he did more beers than chickens....

SkoalTrain and the whole SkoalTrain Crew will be in attendance.  SkoalBandit will make his first game of his early life and what better game than this one upcoming!  Mrs. SkoalTrain will be there as well so I ask all of my Stone Station Brethern to go easy on me....

Gonna be a great game.  BC 70 HSC 42.  Their defense seems somewhat suspect to giving up some points as this weekend is evident of that.

I wouldn't go that far Pat.  Looks to me like HSC had the same thing happen to it that BC did week 1 vs. McDaniel but at least they held on to win.  McDaniel is not that good a team and probably not a whole lot better than Guilford.

Remember also the Stagg Bowl year BC was taken into overtime on the road against a no better than average W&L team.  Last year BC was taken into overtime against an awefull RMC team on the road.

So it happens.  And though I'm confident Bridgewater will win this Saturday in Farmville you can rest assured noboby from Bridgewater will be going down there thinking it will be a cakewalk because of anything that happened this week.  I'm sure this was probably if nothing else a big wake-up call for HSC.

I am already looking forward to the BC-HSC game. Outsider 14, congrats on the win over YSU. Big East is totally wide open with S Florida over UL and WVU' s close call.
Hopefully, the shutout will give the BC D some confidence heading into the big game. The main question I have is did BC escape injury free? I certainly hope so.
