Ooooh.. but then again Pat didn't almost lose to GC now did he?  :D

What is crazy, I think we gave W&J their toughest challenge thus far. Plus Emory does have a good defense compared to last year. OUr offense on the other hand is a different story. I believe the score would have been closer if our offense had spent a little more time out on the field. By the end of the first half our defense was worn completely out. If our offense doesn't gell anytime soon this is going to be a long season.

Hey Pat Cummings-

You're going to be the "joke" when the Tigers win on Saturday...

HSC should re-write the book on irony.  But hey just like the past 3 years.. this IS the year!  I'm glad we get to settle this mess on the field this Sat.. I've been looking forward to it since last year!  ;D

xbcdad

I still haven't heard an answer about what's up with Todd Woods. Man after last year I was not looking forward to facing that kid for the next two years.

At this point I'd have to say E&H is the biggest disappointment and W&L, GCQ and CUA are pleasant surprises. There could be some really crazy sluggfests going on over the next 4 weeks.

hey coach, my boys are just looking out for their homey's but I did catch your  ;) ...you ought to know better that stir up the eagles nest.

Just found out I wont be making the trip down to Farmville this weekend.  Work wont let me go.  Cant believe I will be missing it.  But i know BC and stone station will bring home the good news and the "unofficial" conference championship.

No scores.  Just BC more than HS-C.  :)

TIGER27

Let's bring into the mix terrible field conditions that would slow down play...who then has the upper hand, or at least those conditions be more advantagous for?  (obviously the H-SC/BC game).

haha...just noticed that. Kids always on top of things around here. Just a couple notes about the Guilford game i haven't seen mentioned. HSC had 5 turnovers, 2 fumbles on the Guilford goaline, and an interception which was returned, as well as another pick in scoring position before the half.

but moving on, i'm looking forward to a great game. I feel the same as everyone else on here - which ever D steps up, and either creates a few turnovers or has a couple big stops is going to win the game.

Good luck tigers,

This Barnette kid has had one big game in his career, being this past Saturday versus Sydney (100+ yards, 3 TDs).  How could that possibly make him the best?

kid, no disrespect but the kid was either all conference or honorable mention last year(even with their horrible offense). He's a junior, which likely means you only saw him play once.. as a freshman. This kid can play. Some of the catches he comes up with are unbelievable.  He has done alot more then just this one game against HSC.  Plus he now has a QB who can consistently get him the ball. Take a look back and a look ahead. He's a play maker and expect to see alot from him.

You're right Trenches.  Barnette was honorable mention last year.

I don't think that justifies your previous statement though:
"They have Barnette, who could be the best WR in the ODAC as well as two other WRs who could start on any team in the ODAC (including HSC and BC). "

E&H has 2 juniors (Jackson, Stewart) that were on the first and second teams, respectively, at WR.  Guilford may have some talent at WR, but 3 guys that could replace every team's 2 starters?  No sir.

Skoal,

Does 'the sprinkler' actually count as a dance move?

You darn right!  BCGal taught me that and I have mastered it!  Along with the "lawnmower" and the "fisherman."  She's a good "Teacher."  Get it?

BC:  77  HSC:  35

It will be over by halftime which means Stone Station will be able to enjoy the second half from the parking lot!!!!  I can't wait.  Check out my new pic.  What is that guy doing to that Train?

Trenches

Mizzou... my point was that Barnette is a top talent. He catches everything. All three of GCQ's top 3 are juniors. Their stats are as follows:

RECEIVING            GP-GS  No.  Yds   Avg  TD Long Avg/G
---------------------------------------------------------
Chris Barnette        4-4    29  398  13.7   3   35  99.5    plus 2 2pt conv.
Micah Rushing         4-2    20  259  12.9   3   35  64.8   plus 2 2pt conv.
Joe Joyner            4-4    19  283  14.9   3   56  70.8     plus 1 2pt conv.

Now to me, that's spreading the ball around. Those are solid numbers for each considering the amount of balls each sees. My main point and the way this all started off was that GCQ has some talent on offense and to say otherwise is being blind.

No disrespect to anyone on here or any of the other WR's in the ODAC. I know there is some great talent in the conference. I am simply saying that the boys at GCQ shouldn't be overlooked like they have in past years. But hey, if they are, better for GCQ... a few more teams might be surprised by what they can do this season.

hmmm, Im thinkin Bc wins this one because of a few reasons, the big thing is that we will be able to wear their defense down, granted i think highly of junes, i jsut think bc running game will be the difference, ricca will have a big day as he always does, big time players have big time games, but i think if HSC scores quick it is goin to keep their defense on the field alot which could prove costly, BC will wear them down and win

Nice article on the HSC website about the recent series of BC vs. HSC.  Check out the link.
