CNUsfinest,

So what you are saying is that your team has no history and at least that is better than Bridgewater's lousy history.

If that's the best you can say about your school, I'll let it stand.

And one of the big reasons your team has had some success against BC is that all of the games are played at your house...not anymore Bub.  If your team can crawl its way into the playoffs, and I sincerely hope they do, we'll meet at our place.  We'll be glad to talk "Kings of D3 VA" AFTER the game.

Your team has NO CLAIM to such title, jokingly or not.

GO BC!

Skoaltrain,

How many of those money races have you run? That story was hilarious.

I only ran one and I'm 0-1.....And now I'm retired.

When CNU has more than 50 years of football history than they can talk about being king of D3 in VA.

For historical purposes CNU has never had a losing season what other team in D3 football history can SAY THAT.

You got us there finesest. You'all are the only STATE SUPPORTED D3 Music school in the talant rich '757' area without a losing season! But who's considering resources? Wouldn't want to split hairs or anything. BC awaits the challenge again just let it happin' Captains! ;)

I've been around the ODAC posting-world long enough to know that challenging BC's "dominance" here is futile.  Tough to squeak that through, when BC's posting fans outnumber all the other ODAC schools COMBINED.  This is probably still true when CNU fans join the fray.

I have no qualms with BC fans, so long as their zeal does not pull the wool over their history.  Mike Clark would truly be a football messiah if he pulls the Eagles a few notches higher in the overall historical ODAC rankings.  But I'm sure he's satisfied (and Eagles fans too) with the success of the past half-decade.

As far as being the "best team in Virginia" -- whatever floats your boat to keep the fires running in the off-season.

------

Anyway -- W&L seems strong enough to challenge HSC well this year.  Remember that the Tigers barely pulled one out in Lexington last year (Ricca's injury game).

Just throwing this out there -- if W&L beats Sydney, how about a BC-W&L Battle for the ODAC on Oct. 29th?  Now that would be delicious....

Okay this conversation is going the wrong way considering the odac posters are a little up tight.  And here we go with this state vs. private school crap so I must have struck a major nerve some where.  All I am going to say is that I am going to support my school thru and thru. Its funny how BC fans can support their school to the fullest and throw out their last few years of success like they are the best thing since sliced bread. But when a CNU supporter makes one joke about CNU not playing Bwater anymore and that we are striving to become the King in VA D3 football people get their underwear in a bunch.  And come on EHCtailgate why do we have to wait 50 years before we can talk about trying to become the King of VA. According to kids findings we have the 3rd best winning percentage in the last 5 years among D3 schools. And we are the only Va team to beat Bwater in the last few years of their Dominance so I think we are on track and our team is headed in the right direction.

Jeez "for historical purposes CNU has never had a losing season, what other team in D3 can Say That" come on people can you say Sarcasm.  Bottom line is we can't help when we were born: 2 CNU is not afraid of Jopson at all: and if you look at CNU's roster the majority of our players don't come from the "Talant rich 757" anymore OOPPPPPssssssssss sorry Llamaguy had to do it, comedy. Our school raised the SAT and GPA scores so the really good athletes end up getting full rides to JMU, HU, W&M, UVA, and Tech and the other kids don't get accepted and end up going else where. Kid can crunch the numbers but the majority of our kids are coming from upper VA.

Right now, the top 3 teams in the South region are all from Texas.  Given the NCAA's insanity in the past, how do you think they will address this issue assuming the only loss for any of the three will be the UMHB/HSU loser?  Also assume that game will be a nailbiter, keeping all three Texas teams in the Top 10.  I know polls don't count with the NCAA, but now that we have 32 teams how do they handle it?

IMO, IF the ASC winner and Trinity are both undefeated:
- the ASC winner gets the #1 seed and hosts a low (8, 7) seed that is flown in from somewhere (preferably a team that has to fly anyway)
- Trinity hosts the ASC runner-up.  They get that privilege because their undefeated QoW index would be better than the one-loss ASC team.   They will do this regardless of seed.  It could be #2 vs. #3, wouldn't be the first or last time the NCAA does it.
- Winners play in round 2 regardless of seed (plenty of precedent again).

Here are some all-time statistics for you, VT 616-413, UVA 571-499, WandM 495-484, E&H 479-364, H-S 461-417, R-M 443-428, W&L 433-478, BC 177-359

CNU it takes some losing seasons to build some character. I think its great Bridgewater is doing well right now, after so many losing seasons they have definitly earned the right to win a few. All those losing years has definitly built a lot of character. We at E&H took are winning success for granted and now look where we are now. But I have more fire in me now to want to cheer for E&H to win then I have in A long time.

You know your team better than I Finest. I just remember your Coach saying a year ago that he could recruit w/in an hour of the backdoor and compete fine in D3. That I believe is a fact. As far as getting in an uproar, you know I'm just giving you a hard time about the public school thing. If a private school wants an acedemically sound kid they will find grant money to get them. Its all cool, win the USAC and hopefully the committee won't ship you to Texas. In which case we can have a VA showdown.

Tim the W&L match-up would be a good one. Will anyway but would be even better if it was for all the marbles. :D

Yeah hopefullly CNU can win the conference and make some noise in the post season. No offense but given what the teams in Texas looked like last year and with a very new and young Captain this year. I would gladly take a trip to Jopson instead of a long flight to Texas. Its harder to game plan for a team that you have only seen on film and don't have a real good feel for.  Bwater was begining to feel like a conference game before it got clipped.

As far as the win loss stats go im just gonna say WOW. EHCtailgate.  I knew BC had some rough times but damn.  And o yeah you forgot one important team CNU 30-17 Here we come.

Bmore BC

Sounds like CNUsedFinest gets his panties in a bunch when people actually respond to his outlandish statements. Just for the record BC is 1-0 against Rowan. And the Rowan team we beat is not in comparison to any of the Rowan teams since. You all lost to Shenandoah. That is like losing to Temple in D1. Yeah they win games but they don't count. ;D. For the record those games in the regular season we werent looking at you guys, we were looking past you. We beat you win it matters.

Now you know why I compared all the colleges and universities in the state of Virginia from 2000 on. :)

Joking aside, the fact that BC went 120-348 before 2000 shouldn't take away from us going 57-10 since then.  And us BC fans also realize that even though we've won 85% of our games since the new millennium shouldn't (and doesn't) forget the fact that we lost 74% of them prior to 2000.

Same goes for E&H.  Your current struggles don't discount the fact that you won 10 conference championships in 29 years.

If it makes you feel any better, I found out today (while researching something else) that in 1994 (the year before Mike Clark came), Bridgewater scored 42 points while going 0-10.  Not 42 points a game ... 42 all season (that's 4.2 points per game for those needing the math done).  Twenty of those 42 came in the 4th quarter ... with only one field goal all season scored in the 1st quarter.  Ouch!

Since D3football.com came about, the only two schools to score less per game that Pat or I could find were Dubuque in 2000 (3.4) and Hiram in 2002 (4.1).  I'm sure there are others out there.

Now, can we get back to 2005? :)
