raise your hand if you got caught looking ahead today....... don't be bashful...... ah yes, you there, in the corner... yes the one dressed so neatly. thank you for being honest.
looks like next week will either be a dogfight, if we let it, or if we jump out early they may fall apart w/ doubt in their head. either way i'll be there. i'm pumped.
i heard it was an "ugly" win today... not really any details. get it fixed; that won't cut it against good teams.

Although Devon who may have been the Generals war cry in 2001, I believe some guy by the name of Jason had something to say about that. ;D

Anyway if Volbach throws 4 TDs again the bow ties may get upset. I'm changing my story from +6 WL to GC +1 for or a 30 point loss. No in between

Who said this. ;)

Generally
If you did not just throw up, you would not be a real football/team guy. I threw up alot between 2000-2004.

I also threw up after seeing LLama in his black spandex pants.  :)

haha llama.  glad to see someone else routing for 'em. Even if it is only so you pick up a game.

Kid thought I was just trying to pick up a game also, I truely think this is the "Pick of the Year!" Vogelbach will do you proud this week. If not I eat crow. Oh well

Give me some love Abnrgr I knew what your boys could do this week. It sure helps to see a team in person before making picks. Obviously I liked what I saw in Guilford at BC last week.  ;)

Back from E&H and a wet day, complete with a layover at Hooters in Roanoke. I love football Saturdays! ;)

Field conditions definitely played into the first have woes of both teams today. In the second half BC's straight forward run game took over. Never fear as it was 31-3 when Clark pulled the plug on the starters. All is well with the 1's and they will be ready for Championship week. Other highlights where penalties, and huge crowd numbers. ::) BC got several unsportsman like calls and for the first time this year in the ODAC we were flagged for our rep. like in past years. Didn't make a difference other than further inflating our penalty yardage numbers. It will be nice to play W&L under clear skys and let the football talent settle the ODAC. Bring on Championship week!

ps. Kid has a little picture to sum up today's game, stay tuned! ;D

Being a player on the defensive squad of that Generals team that played them, I think that we held both of them in their respective games.... xBcdad was in attendance for that one and he met the one known as Ronnie Cheeks...

big game this weekend in lex... lets do it...

Hmm, they must've known the attendance police were coming -- just 1,734 claimed in the box score.

The Yellowjacket football team was definitely "on fire" for their Homecoming game yesterday.   They were able to totally dominate the Green Terror for most of the game.  That is definitely the best I've seen the Jackets look the entire season.  I think the win against Emory & Henry gave them a tremendous boost of confidence and it carried over for this game.  The offense featured imaginative play-calling being led by both Tyler Ball and Steve Ahonen; we were able to run for first downs when we needed them and the passing was crisp and on-target.  The defense was very good yesterday shutting down McDaniel's pass attack and not allowing much on the ground.  I thought the D line looked tenacious the entire game and the linebackers and defensive backs made big plays for the duration.  Our kicking game was very good with deep punts and Reggie Moore splitting the uprights for field goals at crucial times.  RM-C was well prepared for this game and we came away with a win.  And the great thing was the Jackets controlled the ball so much that defensive fatigue was never a factor and a lot of guys that see limited playing time got to play in the fourth quarter.  In a season that started with multiple disappointments this game was truly a great win for the team, the fans and Head Coach Arruza and his staff.  It appears that this Yellowjacket football team is beginning to mature and come together.  GOOD JOB JACKETS!!!!!!!!!!
