You should go anyway, see what it's like at that level. Besides, it is really turning into a D-III party.
Pat, I know you're right.  I've thought about going several times the last few years, but something (work maybe?) always gets in the way.  I guess I just need to make it a definite plan no matter who plays this year.  Besides, Greensboro is closer to Salem than 95% of the folks in America!

GCOL - it might be good for the younger Quakers to make the trip.  My son just missed going to the NCHSAA  State Wrestling finals (top 16) at Lawrence Joel Coliseum (WFU) when he was a Junior, but went as a fan.  He soaked everything up and ended up with a medal his Senior year.

GCOL

I'd like to but I also have to worry about getting a job.  Unless I have a team playing in it that I have some connection to then I probably wont be able to make it.  It would definately be good for the younger guys tho.  Maybe I can convince Kesiel to make the trip with some of the guys regardless.

From the ASC and UMHB,

You guys definitely need to go to the Stagg Bowl.  It is a great atmosphere and a great time for all.  Last year I talked to fans and coaches from all over the nation while I was there. Plus, whatever you do, don't miss Stone Station.  These guys talk a lot of trash  ;D but their tailgate is a thing of beauty !!!!  They welcomed everyone with open arms, talked good D3 football and Olinemom does have the best brownies and cookies around.   ;D

I hope I am there watching UMHB play but I think I am going to spring for my son, who played in the game last year, and myself to come see it again no matter what.

Best of Luck ODAC and I hope we get to see you guys in Texas !!
Anything that you ardently desire, vividly imagine, totally believe and enthusiastically pursue will inevitably come to pass !!!

Stone Station/BC crew is always a highlight at the Stagg Bowl - always draws a big crowd, including yours truly.  They do it right.  Don't miss it.

C<mon GCol, you have to take a day off.  Call it a DIII holiday.  I can garantee you that you won<t be disappointed!  It was a real blast last year.  The fans from Texas and Washington(?)- wherever Linfield is - were great!!  Everybody had flags flying and Stone Station had the great Pat Cummings and a whole list of characters.  It was a great time.  And the football was wonderful too.  It beat the heck out of a lot of football I saw on the tube at the end of last season, especially that scruffy turf thing in Tennessee.  What a disgrace that field was !!!!  Thanks, for the compliment about the oline brownies, roocru.  My favorite sight last year were those purple and white santa hats.  You know the ones i mean?  and the Neals (thanks, guys!!) got me my very own Santa hat in the BC colors, so I plan on wearing that to the Stagg Bowl this year, no matter who plays.
It would be worth for Coach K to come and bring some of his young and hungry players.  It gives a team focus!!
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

Sounds like a couple of pretty good endorsements.  How can you pass that up?  lol  I'll see what I can do.

Olinemom - By the way, I have a sister in Salem, Oregon and I've visited that beautiful state, so I just happen to know Linfield is in Oregon.

Hey, I knew it was west and that they had come a  loooooooong way!!  And they were so nice.  They had this absolutely humongous flag they were carrying about.  Someone got a picture of me and the guy with the flag at the crack of dawn (but things were already hopping!!), promised to send me a copy but I haven't seen it yet.  sigh  Washington is like a suburb of Oregon, right?

Close enough!  lol  I think the Oregonians would prefer that scenario to what is really happening ... namely, a lot of fed-up Californians moving to Oregon.  I saw a lot of bumper stickers that said "Stop the Californication of Oregon!"  lol  If you ever get a chance to go - go!  You haven't completely lived until you've seen Crater Lake, the Three Sisters, Mt. Hood and the Columbia River Gorge!  My HS age niece is already talking about DIII type schools such as Willamette or Linfield, but maybe she'll think an east coast school wouldn't be so bad either ... we can always use another Quaker fan!

Jon, I have never met a college Senior who spent a Saturday afternoon in mid-December looking for a job!  ( .. and I have lots of examples to back me up!)  lol  Give yourself an early Christmas present and go!  If you guys are worried about gas money to Salem, we'll find a way to take care of that.

GCOL

Olinemom,
I definately think about it, and I know if I can get enough people to come with me then I probably will, but just tell your boys to go all the way and there wont be aquestion about whether or not I'm going to come.

GCOL

Nova,
I like to seriously get ahead of the crowd, but you're right I probably wont be  then, atleast not on saturday.

Ok fellers...what's the plan for tomorrow night?

This year won't be any different Pat!  Come one, Come all.  Regardless of who is playing, we'll be there.  I've got a new addition to the tailgate this year.  A fire pit.  Long overdue based on the temperture last year.
