Was going to reply as well but don't think I could have put it any better than Skoal did.

BC has been under the radar all year, and rightfully so after the McDaniel debacle.  But I really don't think any coaching staff really wants to see us come to town right now.  Not predicting where this thing is going, but whoever wants to knock the Eagles out is going to have to earn it.  Linfield included.

Cat,
I think ya'll better worry about beating UW-W before you worry about the winner of the BC/Wesley game, which by the way I think will be BC.  If ya'll don't play well this weekend, UW-W will get its crack at the best of the South not Linfield.

I guess the BC Alumni bus is filled so I have to drive to Dover if I attend this week right?

There is another bus now offered.  Students, alumni, and parents are allowed ... $45.00 for the trip.  Leaves Saturday morning at 5:00 am.  Returns Saturday evening.

Hey there Gig Harbor Kitten:  I don't know about WW not cutting it.  It's not them you should be worried about.  BC might be coming to town!  We'll see after Saturday and if BC is headed to Linfield then the boards will be quite active next week.  Don't write us off so fast.  We've been there too!!!  Salem that is.....At least you can watch it on ESPN2.  Even though for you it will be at 10:00 a.m.  Just tape it or TIVO it if your sleeping one off........Good Luck this weekend.  You just might need it.  Elliott throws for 275 yards and 3 pics.  Not go odds.

Thanks for the info. Didn't CSTV (College Sports Television) broadcast one of the D 3 semifinals in 2004? Will they broadcast a D3 game before the Stagg Bowl this time?

BigMikeA78

3 days and 2 hours until kickoff....man, is it Saturday yet???

I want to see some more BC playoff magic...

My personal prediction on how the game will play out...

BC 27, Wesley 20 ...  I see this game coming down to the final few minutes and after a late Wesley score ties the game at 20, BC drives down the field and Lewis connects with Copeland for the game winning score, you heard it here first!!!

Rugby Guy

Lewis?  Are we rotating QB's from game to game now?

"The WR from Wesley" (Larry Beavers) isn't even their primary receiver.  UMHB focused on shutting Marcus Lee down only to have Beavers go crazy.  BC will have to play a smarter defense than the Crusaders did.

Here are the stats for the top four Wesley WRs:

RECEIVING       GP  No.  Yds   Avg  TD Long Avg/G
-------------------------------------------------
Marcus Lee      12   66 1121  17.0   8   68  93.4
Larry Beavers   12   45 1038  23.1  14   76  86.5
Curtis Gore     10   28  373  13.3   2   55  37.3
Tim Bayles      12   26  295  11.3   1   28  24.6

Keep in mind that Beavers had 4 TD's against UMHB, so the TD stats were pretty even before then.

Stopping both Lee and Beavers will be a key for BC on Saturday.  Ignore either to your peril.   ;)

Beavers and Lee might be great and all, but Bridgewater has faced plenty of teams with more than one main receiver...

Guilford's top four WRs:

RECEIVING       GP  No.  Yds   Avg  TD Long Avg/G
-------------------------------------------------
Chris Barnette  10  101 1369  13.6  15   56 136.9
Micah Rushing   10   79  937  11.9   8   48  93.7
Joe Joyner      10   57  803  14.1   8   77  80.3
Kevin Vaughn    10   23  345  15.0   4   49  34.5

Hampden-Sydney's top four WRs:

RECEIVING       GP  No.  Yds   Avg  TD Long Avg/G
-------------------------------------------------
Drew Smith      10   79 1284  16.3  13   61 128.4
Josh Simpson    10   41  436  10.6   3   44  43.6
Brian Rolander  10   40  940  23.5  10   64  94.0
Ben Dull        10   36  447  12.4   7   32  44.7

Washington & Jefferson's top four WRs:

RECEIVING       GP  No.  Yds   Avg  TD Long Avg/G
-------------------------------------------------
Aaron Krepps    11   75 1100  14.7  15   68 100.0
Jon Miller      11   48  746  15.5   7   70  67.8
R.J. Soeder     11   44  604  13.7   2   42  54.9
Tom McCafferty  11   22  470  21.4   4   60  42.7

Point being that Wesley having two or more great receivers is nothing new to the Bridgewater defense.  The three schools listed above also have great QBs like Wesley's.  If Wesley's wideouts end up winning the game for the Wolverines, then so be it.  I do know though our coaches will have a game plan to neutralize their speed and athletic ability ... question is whether or not our players execute.
