PA_Wesleyfan,

Thanks for pointing it out, however briefly.  Wait...first...great game Wolverines.  That team is impressive.  I thought the 47-0 blemish on the record pointed to good possibilities for BC, until I found out from a Salisbury player's father that WC played that game in mud with their turf shoes on.  At any rate, that is one VERY good team, and the players (unlike virtually EVERY fan in the scoreboard endzone) handled that game with class and dignity.  Contrats and I hope you represent the South well over the next two weeks.

My only question is.... Is 32 from Canada? He did that deep in motion thing well until he forgot to stop. That offsides was a nice bit of levity.

good guess. he is from canada...

Good season BC.  Yall have nothing to be embarrassed of.  At least yall scored in your seniors final game (mine being against mount union).  Can't say i'm not upset that Copeland has taken my record from me but if it had to be someone, i'm glad it was him...........he's good.  You seniors did a good job of carrying the torch, Congrats on the season.  Let's get ready for 06 and come back a lot stronger

Just got back from another visit to the frozen North.  They may be in the South region but it was awfully cold!    What a fine team Wesley has.  I don't see any weaknesses in their game.  They controlled the line of scrimmage, making us do really dumb things.  They got in our heads, both players and coaches alike.  This is the first team I can remember that was player for player faster than we were.  Even without making mistakes, I don't think it would have been possible to win today.  They were ready and able to run their game plan.  I really like that timed pass over the center.  It was impressive!  They only missed on it once.  I was equally impressed by their running ability.  The players I saw could change directions on a dime and give 9 cents change.  Did I already mention how fast they were?  I second Kid on his assessment of talent.  I believe Wesley has a chance to take it all.  And believe me, Delaware, or at least the stadium I sat in today, simulates Wisconsin weather fairly nicely.  I am surprised that WW beat Linfield, but that's why they play the games.  Represent the South well next weekend, but leave those obnoxious endzone people at home.  On a happier note, when I came over to ask for the PA system volume to be turned up loud enough for the BC crowd to at least hear the game we had paid to be at,  they did it immediately and I thank them for that.

I want to thank all my players for a great season.  We got to the South Regional game when there were only 8 teams left in all of DIII playing.  You have acquitted yourselves well this year.  I have enjoyed watching you week in and week out.  My apt has smelled so good when the brownies have been baking for every Monday.  I can't wait until next season begins.  For my seniors, and you are so many this year,  I want to thank you for 4 great years of football.  We've gone to the playoffs every year that you have been at Bridgewater College.  You have won the ODAC Championship every year.  That's a enviable record to be proud of!!  It has been a lot of fun getting to know some of you (and I wish I could have done a better job of knowing more of you) and also to meet and get to know your families.  That is the reason I chose to teach at a small college.  In fact, ever since I was 12 years old (and that was an eon ago) I had wanted to teach French at Bridgewater College.  Some dreams do come true--because you know they didn't even teach French in my school system--I had to start it in college :)--, but I knew what I wanted and went for it.  Keep your eyes on your dreams and go out and conquer the world.  You are a courageous and talented group of young men and I see a grand future for you as long as you give it the same kind of effort you have given to BC football for that is what life takes.  It asks for your best and is unforgiving when you don't give it.  You have met this challenge many times up to this point and I am confident you will continue to do so.

PS  GOOD LUCK ON YOUR EXAMS!  I guess now I had better start to make mine.

In a more personal note, (and you don't have to read this if you don't want to) there are worse things than losing a football game today.  We buried a 16 yr old young man this morning at 11:00 am in my home town who was killed in a fight over a prank phone call.  He was a great youngster, a kind, helpful, personable young man.  No one will ever know what kind of man he would have become because they buried him today in his football uniform.  I will never forget you, Tyler, my friend.  The neighborhood will never be the same.

I want to thank the BC Seniors for 4 great years of football. Thanks for the dedication and heart you showed in winning the ODAC each year and going deep into the playoffs 3 of your 4 years. We will miss all 31 of you.
It was a great atmosphere and although I expected a closer game I was very proud to see that many BC fans make the trip especially with the BC /EMU basketball game going on this evening.
Good luck to Wesley vs UW Whitewater and thanks again to the BC fans and players for a great trip to Dover and a great season.

It looks like MHB's broadcasters had it right in their assesment of Wesley's team, big, strong and fast.  Congrats again to BC's program and especially it's Seniors for the 4 quality years.  For the Seniors that I didn't get to see after the game Saturday, heres an on-line handshake and a "thanks."  I will see you on campus and especially at your graduation in the spring.

I am also very proud of the way the BC faithful travel, huge turn out again into marginal conditions.  Also proud of our fan's patience with the few Dover folks who apparently haven't won very much.

The final 4 will be fun to watch.  Good luck to Wesley's football team, you have a chance.

Wow!! Wish some of our FANS were as gracious winning as you are losing!!!

Wesleyfan,
Its all good. Students tend to get a little excited their first time around!

BC having played it's 16th playoff game in the last 6 years probably has alot to do with gracious losing. We have not reached the peak yet, but it sure has been fun climbing the mountain each of the last 6 playoff seasons! ;)

Savor every moment of your playoff run because its not something that is given to you each year. It is an earned right of passage to some of the best D3football you will ever watch.

I have been a wesley fan for eleven years and I know too well the trials and tribulations, I have seen Wesley teams with one and two defeat years get passed over. Bu I know enough to understand all that. I also have seen Wesley try hard just to get teams to play them just to get nine games let alone ten scheduled.  That is why if you look at soome of their earlier schedules they traveled far to play.
So I understand what this means and I think most of the rest of the Wesley faithful do too. I.E. Some over exciited people. I just don't like name calling is all.
Like I said before I had a chance to chat with a few of your fans and they were down but gracious in defeat.

First off, I want to congrat the Wesley team on a job well done.  That squad beat BC in all three aspects of the game yesterday.  The BC team I saw yesterday reminded me more of the BC team during the losing seasons while I was at college, but I think that was more a representation of Wesley just being faster, bigger and wanting the game more then BC did.

With that said, congrats to all BC players, especially the BC seniors on a job well done this year and for the seniors, all four years at BC going 24-0 in the ODAC.  There is nothing wrong with being 1 of the last 8 teams standing.  Just have to use what happened on Saturday as a lesson in the years to come for the younger players.  Each week in the playoffs, your game has to step up because the competition is one step up and that just did not happen on Saturday.

Also, good luck to Wesley next week in Wisconsin.  I for one, will be pulling for you guys to win out there and represent the South Region in the Stagg Bowl.

Great season Eagles!  I wont repeat everything thats already been said about how good Wesley looked yesterday, but I did want to say that the reverse after our 99yd touchdown was a genius playcall and executed perfectly!  They set that up all day with that stretch run play and called the reverse at just the right time.  But anyway, good luck Wesley.
I look forward to watching the Eagles go even further in the playoffs next year!  Good luck recruiting coaches...time to reload.

I too echo everyone's thoughts on the 2005 Season! Hell-uv-a Season Guys.

I remember one BCSTUD mentioning what a home loss in the first game of the season meant to these seniors. Well I think you more than represented the BC Football tradition with your performance the rest of the season. ;) Great run seniors, and remember, the 2004 guys are not the only class to say they never lost an ODAC game and were "Always a Champion"! Congrats.

Now for the Underclassmen,
You have now received a good taste of the playoffs. Remember that feeling as I think the team next year will be equally as good and could go even farther with the pieces in place. The Drive for ODAC championship #6 in a row starts tomorrow. And a Stagg appearance is definitely not out of the question in 2006! Good luck in the offseason, stay healthy, get stronger, and come back with the hunger that makes the BC Football program what it is today.

Lastly Coaches,
Thanks for your work ethic and providing the glue that holds this program together. We as fans enjoy knowing that every Saturday we go to a BC game, we will never be outcoached! ;) Good luck with recruiting and we will see you on the field in August.

Go Eagles!

Couldn't have summed it up better.  Congratulations guys on 4 great years.  You've made it a helluva' fun thing to be a BC fan.

bOTTOM LINE UP FRONT. ODAC (BC) WAS IN THE SHOW. Over a 100 TEAMS (?) were in and 100 out. Getting planked in the 4 rd round is better than turning in equipment in early NOV. But that's just me. I guess I got pull for those small brutish snarling, flesh eating beasts ;)
