Listen sitting here in florida with my son going to play in maine I have nothing to debate about. Wait and see. What I can tell you is that your wrong. This man taught this jew some christian values. I am impressed period. I can trot out a bunch of parents that feel the same. By the way and this is no knock on a school or schools that I do not follow, but the elite schools in florida tend not to help the kids that go d-3 much. Time is spent with the d-1 kids. My sons school got 12 d-1 rides n.d. florida, idaho, miss fsu miami michagan, that leaves little time for others. When Dave call people at least speak to him, That will give him an edge in these parts.

While Dunn may call Florida Clark knocks on doors.

Go ahead drink the Kool-Aid.

Well, I hope they're both above .500 on Oct. 28.  I've seen many of the ODAC campuses, but not R-MC's.  I've always heard how pretty it is, so I look forward to making the trip.  Hopefully, the Jackets will be playing well enough to entice you to make the drive - I'd like to meet you and say hello.  Speaking of subpar seasons, however, I've unfortunately had my share as a Quaker fan.  Until last fall's 5-5, we hadn't had a winning season since going 8-2 in 1997.  Hope springs eternal, though, and the prospects do seem bright on paper for this fall ... (fingers crossed) lol

I appreciate your well wishes, Hasanova.  I hope to meet you, too, and if not this year during football season, then definitely during basketball season.  Guilford's campus is one that I have yet to see.

But football time is tough!  The past five years of watching Randolph-Macon football has really developed a tolerance for pain within me, though I stop short of enjoying it!! :P  Adding to the misery has been the ascension of the Bridgewater and Hampden-Sydney programs, two teams we used to beat fairly regularly, especially in the late '90s.

I don't say this to disrespect either school, but rather to use it as a gauge for other posters to demonstrate how jealous I am.  Very. :'(

But I'll wait to see if Arruza lives up to his billing.  Two years is a little too soon to pass judgment.

chessdoc,

Of the schools Bridgewater plays on a regular basis, I've met (in person) three of their head coaches; Keating (McDaniel), Barnes (Shenandoah) and Favret (Hampden-Sydney).  All three were VERY nice when talking to me, even with knowing I'm "that website kid from Bridgewater."  They didn't need to give me the time of day (I sought them out), but they did.  Clearly I feel the same about BC's coach (Mike Clark).  All four of those gentlemen are well intentioned and I feel are coaching Division III football because of the family-like contact they get to have with the players on a regular basis.  So I honestly don't see how Coach Dunn will be any different.  Sure, I bet he's a great man, but I've only (personally) met four of them, haven't met a head coach yet who I felt wasn't (a good person).

If only there were a Web site that had that information a month ago ...

That comment was one of your best, lol!  :D

Oops!  Didn't get to see the current and past schedules with results until today.  I am deeply in awe.

Absolutely you can cheer for him.  Just realize that most (if not all) coaches are cheered for by friends, family, alumni, fans, students (unless your N.C. State) ... and all coaches are though highly of within their circles, so your point of view of Coach Dunn is nothing new.  But by all means, cheer!

jacketlawyer - We'll definitely meet up sooner or later!  Your invitation (when you were thinking about coming to the RMC basketball game in Greensboro last winter) still stands - I'll be glad to give you a tour of the place.  RMC will get their football program back on track again - these things go in cycles.  Personally, I'd like to see all the ODAC teams very competitive within the league and all a power versus outside competition.  Right now, we have a mixed bag, but I see several programs headed in the right direction.

chessdoc:

Apparently you're not allowed to be impressed with just one coach on this board. Guess you'll have to come back when you are similarly impressed with at least two other ODAC coaches. Thanks. :)

Is it September already and no one told me?  ;D

Look at "The Kid" stirring the pot. LOL

Technically your nomer would be an accurate statement for Catholic, playa! But Ricca Sr is a class act so I don't plan on that statement staying true for long.

Go ODAC! Can't we all just get along. "Wake me when September comes!" ;)

I will not allow you to post that.
Dunn is a class act as well as the other coaches in the ODAC. I have had a chance to talk with them a number of times and they are all good people as well as good coaches.
Good Luck to everyone this fall. CUA will continue to improve and will be a contender this year. A lot of talent coming back.

Hm, that's a funny statement, I seem to remember a time around 2000-2001 when E&H and CUA fans were in the shoes that BC now stands in and they were "just as bad" as BC fans are now.. things change with time CUAPlayer.. don't be so dishearted.

Yes. The two Emory & Henry fans and three Catholic fans were very prone to gang up on ... uhh ... K-Mack and ... uhh ... I can't think of anyone else who posted at that time. :)
