Grr ... looks like Ernesto will dump some buckets before the Catholic-Shenandoah game on Thursday.

Ok Al Roker, a little rain has never stopped anyone from attending a football game. That rain won't be Ernesto rain as it will still be in NC until Friday morning. Just a few showers on Thursday eve. Now as for the BC game on Saturday, that will be some rain. Llamaguy already has an alternative plan. How many people can fit under the Stone Station "Bowl Side" Tent at McDaniel? Reservations are available, so far we have Llamaguy, Kid, Kid's Lady, Kid's pooch, and Hal man. Any others? ;D ;D ;D
There better be room for me, Llama.  If it's raining, I don't imagine the Mrs or kids will attend.  She's so sweet, she'll melt.   :D

I just wanted to add a Thank You to Jermaine for representing BC and the ODAC...even though I imagine some personal goals were not met Jermaine made me proud to say "I played with that guy" and "He's from Bridgewater".  Thank You Jermaine!

CBE,

First of all, thanks for the JT updates you have been giving us.  I appreciate the info.

Secondly, if you see Mr. Taylor, tell him the BC crowd is very proud of his accomplishments.  I will NEVER forget the sight of a Bridgewater graduate wearing a Green Bay Packer uniform.  Every time I see a 49 Packer jersey, even Llama's, I'll think of Jermaine.

Best of luck in your future endeavors, Jermaine, whether they be to continue pursuing the NFL, or life in the real world.

Oops, I intended to add this to CBE's post about JT.  Sorry.  It's still preseason.  I guess I am not in regular season form yet.

EHC has won 3 D3 Playoff games (3-5 record in the D3 Playoffs overall)

Sorry about that.

Yes, Jermaine came very close to making an NFL roster the past 2 years. I wish him all of the best in the future.

Reminder...

Picks are due the night before the first game - this week it's tonight.  No exceptions (yeah, that goes for you too Mizzou and CBE :)).

2006 ODAC Pick 'Em Contest

So far we have 25 signed up!

I suppose we all haven't learned our lesson with the Bridgewater-McDaniel game.  In 2004, 34 of 35 pickers chose Bridgewater (McDaniel won).  In 2005, all 21 pickers chose Bridgewater (McDaniel won).  This year, all 25 have chosen Bridgewater.  Hmm.

Winston Young, BC RB - 15 (42.9%)

Some BC alum just don't want to be the folks picking AGAINST BC if  McDaniel wins... that never looks good!  ;)

True, but only 10 of this year's 25 pickers have BC connections (student, alum, prof).  I sort of understand those 10 being homers ... but the other 15 are right with us.

It was like 50 years ago or something.  I remember seeing that in the game notes for BC-SU last year.
