Final: GC 27  MC 11

By my best estimates (guessing here some):
Vogelbach: close to 60 att, 35+ (?) comp, over 403 yds (8 in a row over 300)... finishes with 3 tds, 2 ints.
Barnette: 14 rec (makes it 25 through 2 games), 131 yds, TD
Rushing and Joyner:  Close to 10 rec (if not more) and TD each
Vaughn, P. Bobak, Webber also recorded Receptions that I know of.

Great showing by the Quakes D!!
2-0 start to the season. 7 game win streak, 7 of last 8!!

CONGRATS FELLAS!!!
Trenches, Quakes have won 7 of last 8, but only 6 in a row.  I'm not sure what the school record is for consecutive wins.  I know they already have at least six because I was at the win over Bridgewater in the mid-80's when Guilford started the season 6-0 (we lost the 7th game).  Anyway, I can feel the momentum!  Great start to the season!

Haha... sorry. I knew that. Think I was a little over excited.  :-[  :D

Understandable.  I'm excited also.  I hope this keeps up.  We should have a great crowd for the Greensboro/Soup Bowl  and stadium dedication at Homecoming!

Gettysburg 28
Hampden-Sydney 20

4:13 left in the game

GC 27  MC 11
BC 30  SU 0
FM 21  WL 7

any other finals?

Saw...
RMC 14  JHU 13
GC 28   HSC 20

have any gone final? When does CUA play?

CUA 34 OWU 33  in OT

dammit. my three close games all went the other way WL, CUA, HSC. Sucks because I knew these three would be fights.  Looks like its a 3-4 week for me (hopefully).

Not bad again by the ODAC GC, BC, CUA wins. RMC may pull off the "upset."
I'm sure HSC and W&L will turn it around soon enough.

Amazing HSC is 0-2 and has GC in two weeks. Would be crazy if HSC opened 1-3 or a blasphemous 0-4.

Rugby Guy

Wow...how about CNU over Mary Hardin Baylor 15-10.

Are you sure that is this year's ODAC pre-season poll because it looks remarkably similar to the 2005 poll?

Trenches, religion_major is right.  That's the 2005 poll.  2006 preseason poll was:

1.  BC
2.  W&L
3.  HSC
4   GC
5.  RMC
T6. CUA
T6. E&H

Haha... I was wondering that myself. That's the poll that is listed on the ODAC site under the "2006 preseason poll" link. It has the '06 link name so I didnt bother to look at the year above the poll. I wonder how that happened.

Still funny to see even after corrected.

Yeah I saw that coming for HSC after they lost Ricca b/c he was pretty much their whole team last year.

Is Averett on a suicide mission this year. I mean starting out with Mount Union and then Wesley.

Even with that said about Averett, GC will get a W against them if they keep playing the way that they have to begin this year.

Man, I know BC hasn't played a really strong offensive team yet, but the D has looked great so far.   2 shutouts in a row is impressive, no matter who you play and they were in the backfield the whole game.  Especially the first half.  I thought one of BC's guys was gonna take the handoff from the SU QB a couple times!  Good win!

Keep in mind that ODAC play will be a whole different beast.  Sometimes a non-conference loss helps your team more than hurts down the line (a la BC losing to McDaniel to start the season - we learned a lot that game).

But CONGRATS to BC, GC and CUA ... well done today!!  I see the Tigers and Generals getting better - keep in mind they are both breaking in new QBs, where as BC, GC and CUA have ones with experience.

I'll have more thoughts later ... time for date night. :)

Oh, no i def know. Just funny to see those starts.

You know, I'm primarily a CUA basketball fan and don't go to many football games, but I'm also a relatively recent alum ('02) went to this one to see what the new field looks like (great!).

Honestly, I don't think I've seen a more exciting football game in a long, long time...especially in person.  CUA trailed 20-17, got a 42 yard field goal to tie (not exactly a gimme in d3 college), then promptly gave up a touchdown with 1:50 or so left.  CUA gets the ball on the 20 with 1:42 left, had to go all the way down the field, gets to 3rd and long on the first series after Ricca was sacked twice, and then gets a 35 yard reception.  Marches all the way down the field, one final play, down 7 at the 3 or so, passes the ball, caught for a touchdown with 1 second left.  Extra point is good.  Goes to OT.  CUA ball first...on the very first play, basketball player/two way star Nick Olivero breaks one, 25 yards in for the TD.  Extra point good.  3rd down for OWU, 25 yard pass for a TD.  Calls timeout so you knew something was up.  Goes for two.  Drops back to pass, looks like they might have a guy in the corner...but the ball is knocked away...game over, Catholic wins.

Wow!

Lots of ugly turnovers in this one...and sacks...but an win's a win and that was a big one.
