With BC having an off week:

Here are a few teams, I think I am going to be routing for:

UMHB
Greensboro
Huntingdon
W&J

(Strictly personal) ;)

"Routing for?"

Does that mean pulling for an overwhelming victory?  ;)

I'd take an overwhelming victory by CUA over W&L... for strictly BC reasons..  ;) :D

Actually, I would think that a W&L win would help BC's Quality of Wins index more than a Catholic victory would.  That would most likely put W&L in the top winning precentage category to get the maximum amount of points for that game.

But a loss to CUA by W&L helps when it comes down to ODAC standings at the end of the regular season..if BC were to lose to W&L.. you have to get beyond the ODAC games to get into quality wins.   Think back to the 2000 season when there was a tie between EH and BC for the ODAC title.

Was looking back in old issues of the Bridgewater Alumni Magazine for something else, and ran into a feature story on one of our own ...

Rugby Guy was featured in the spring 1996 issue ... I scanned the first page ... he's the one in the middle of the five (and cut out at the bottom left of the page).

skoaltrain, where is your feature article?!? ;)

Thanks for the picture.  I remember all those guys!!  I had Kevin in class, ditto Scott And of course Rugby Guy was one of the majors in my department.  I knew the other 2 less well.  I'd love to know what they are doing now.
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

My vote would be for a W&L victory since I am not planning on BC losing a HOME game this year. And to be honest the entire ODAC has done their part in keeping BC's QOWI intact. Its BC's out of conference opponents that will drag them down this year: McDaniel (1-3), Shenandoah(1-4), Ferrum(1-3), Lagrange(0-5). ;)

Big game next time out for BC!  ;) We will be playing our first game of the season against a team with a winning record, on the road no less.  :o

Mighty quiet on here.  C'mon, no talk of the big JV game tonight with Bridgewater traveling to Shenandoah?! :)

I'll be making the trip, even though Winchester is calling for a 30-40% of rain.  That's what they made umbrellas for.

I've gotten BC's JV roster and will hopefully be able to do stats.  So I'll have some sort of report upon my return.

GO BC JV (the future)! ;D

I know Oct. 14 will be fall break at Guilford, so unfortunately many of the students won't be there.  I sincerely appreciate the many BC fans who will make the trip.  Here's hoping a lot of Guilford parents, alumni, friends and students will still be there to support your team in this BIG game!  Go Quakers!

Llamaguy?  There is a possibility that the SkoalTrain might be able to be in attendance.  What are we cooking?  Chicken or chicken?

Hmm, will Robbie Jenkins (former BC quarterback) be able to persuade Driskell to become an Eagle?

Sounds like a good player for BC!  Hopefully Robbie can keep up his "influence"!

According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, Hampden-Sydney got 2.5M from an alumnus to help build a new football stadium at 3.5M.  That should help the Tigers in many things. . . ..

Wow.  So, Jacketlawyer, when are you going to pony up your $2,500,000 for the Jackets?  :)
