I think their win against W&L last year (at home) is certainly a sign that they can beat a quality team, but Vogelbach still threw four interceptions in the win.  So he clearly doesn't need to have a TO-free day for GC to win.

I think for the analysis to be more accurate would to detemine on what part of the field did the TO happen, and was the other team able to capitalize on the GC mistake.

Quite frankly I don't think GC has a chance.  The ability to run the ball and more importantly the ability to stop the run continues to be the primary detemination of a team's chance for a win.  I don't think GC has either.  One only has to look back at the Ricca era at HSC and if he couldn't get it done........ ::)(But nobody would be happier than me to see the Eagles and the BCAC legions fall! and that includes Hasanova!! ;D)

I also think that HSC will be motivated to knock off W&L this weekend, and I sure hope the Generals aren't lulled to sleep by the Tiger's record.  I wouldn't be suprised to see the Generals fall if they are looking ahead.

Could this General three game gauntlet vs. HCS, GC, and BC rival the Florida Gators three game gauntlet vs. LSU, AU, and UGA?

Looking forward to the corrections from my personal editor ;)
Sorry, I left the red pencil at home today.  Looks good, though.  :)  Good luck to the Generals against the Tigers.  I'm still trying to decide whether or not I'm going to Lexington next week.  It's a nice trip and I haven't been in 8 years or so, but I have so much to do at home.  Decisions, decisions.   Peace

IF you all win this weekend and IF W&L wins I think you HAVE to go!  ;)

So is Bridgewater the LSU, or the Auburn, or the Georgia of D3 football?

interesting article in the DNR today about the BC O-Line. sounds like Rock had quite an influence on the group, probably through nik reese as well... i did notice that the o-line likes the fact that they don't get yelled at this year........ that's just weird in my opinion  8)

But if there's nobody yelling you miss out on classic quotes such as "I'm taking my ball and going home!"   Which happened after the D-line screws around one too many times during practice.. too freaking funny.

   I just wonder if the new guy has a laser pointer while looking at practice film.  I still have nightmares of 2 hour practice film reviews..point laser, rewind, point laser, rewind.. ask player what the hell they are doing, rewind, turn around and ask if the player is awake, rewind..grumble.. move on to the next play..  :D ;D    I miss that guy!  :)

Speaking of yelling, here is a test question for the newlywed "Kid."  If a woman yells, but the husband doesn't hear her, is he still wrong?  I have been married for 25 years so I know the correct answer.

The answer is yes:
-The first reason is you should have KNOWN she was going to yell, so you're still wrong.
-2nd  You may not have heard her yell but she assumes you did and ignored her.. so your wrong.
-3rd You more than likely did something to prompt her to yell.. even if it was something as simple as not leaving enough TP on the roll.. in that case you should have known it wasn't enough for her.
-4th We're guys..we're ALWAYS wrong!  ;)

Well, they would say we're right about one thing; wanting to marry them.

Outsider14,

Random stat about your dad.  The eight years he was at BC, his offensive lines allowed 130 sacks in 95 games.  That's only 1.37 sacks a game.

What's more amazing is that in his first year (1998), BC allowed 19 sacks (and went 0-10).  The next year, we gave up only five.  Not a bad turnaround.

Kid,
How many All-Americans did he have off of the O-line?  Quite a few if I remember correctly.   Some coaches can be replaced but Coach Colbert was and is a tough one to even come close to!

Five;

-Mike Day (2001, 2002)
-Paul Getty (2005)
-Matt Huffman (2001)
-Dustin Newman (2003)
-Ranardo Whitaker (2003, 2004)

Then he had one other make first team all-ODAC;

-Nik Reese (2005)

And personally, I think Mike Budd and Troy Burnett were others that should have earned first team honors.

number of sacks st. vincent college has given up this year: 0.

beat THAT stephon! ;-)

i miss those guys and i'm really happy they're doing well. here's a funny little tidbit. the first words (i think) exchanged between myself and coach healy, on the way out to practice one day:

"<sniff> what flavor cough drop do you have in?" --me
"Honey. As if I'm not sweet enough" --Coach Healy in his British accent.

a) the accent threw me off
b) that's a big *** dude, if he says he's sweet enough by god he is!
