Does it seem that we underestimated GC? I heard it said that GC had 10 days to prepare for us, so what did we do to prepare for them?

Hang in there EAGLES!! Let's come back harder the next 4 weeks. Ya'll can do it!

Congrates to GC though.
Thanks for your congratulations.  It was a hard-fought game and a good game to attend.  Both teams had a bye week on Oct. 7, so the Eagles and the Quakers both had two weeks to prepare.  The ODAC race should be very interesting this fall.  I can't wait to see what unfolds the next four weeks!

That's what I like about the BC fans...very gracious. Die hard fans, but when the very seldom loss comes around, ya'll don't go into denial or blame Zeus or Thor.

Head on over to the USASAC board and listen to the Greensboro fans....first CNU blanks them 28-0 in N'orester and they say, CNU is not good enough to be ranked #21. Then they go to hapless Shenandoah and get it handed to them 36-10 and they say SU will not win another game this year......I don't think they realize that what they are really saying is that their team really SUCKS. "SU is so bad they'll never win another game....they had to beat us 36-10 to get the W".

anyway - I spewed.......good luck to BC the rest of the way.....get out your tie breaking rules for the end of the year.....the ODAC is going to be fun to watch!

CNWHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO,

C' mon now, you know it was Zeus' fault we lost.  Admit it.

How 'bout them Vikings and Packers?  Good luck to CNU, I hope BC gets the chance to play you this year.

GO BC!

I hope BC and CNU face off this year....cuz that would mean playoffs!!!

Vikes and Pukers........not much to write home about this year. Don't count on a big dividend payout on your stock this year. I hate saying this, but Da Bears have it wrapped up already!

Congratulations to Guilford's Micah Rushing (you have to love that name for a Running Back) and Markas Brunson for earning the ODAC's Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week awards, respectively.  Rushing had 237 all-purpose yards and a TD (150 rushing on 20 carries, 80 yards receiving and 7 return yards).  Brunson (a freshman LB/DE making his first college start) had 9 total tackles (6 solo, 2.5 tackles for a loss with 1.5 QB sacks).  I'll go out on a limb and guess Markas will make his second start at W&L on Saturday.  :)  It was a pleasure to watch both play on Saturday.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Vikes and Pak BOTH find a way to lose that game.. ;)

I was going to blame the loss on Shiva.. Zeus was the reason Hopkins lost to BC after the long delay all those years ago.. we can't blame the big guy for too many loses.. he may get bent out of shape and request a sacrifice..  :D

I've got "Da Bears" Defense for Fantasy football this year.  If they have a good game against the Cards tonight I should pick up a win this week.   Favre probably stayed one year too long ...

The voters should have just changed the rules and put down Guilford for TEAM of the week!  The efforts made on the part of the GC players were amazing. (From what I could hear on the BC Radio Broadcast.)

I have Farve as my 2nd string Fantasy QB and he still does ok for Fantasy Football.. but when it comes to the actual REAL WORLD game he's got nothing around him to help.   Good pick on the Bears!  I have the Eagles and Saints D..  :P

Thanks.  My league has a 16-round draft and I was the first person to pick someone other than a QB, RB or WR.  I think I took the Bears in the 4th or 5th round - so far it's paid off.

Ah.. my league is one that is run by Yahoo and because I work with a bunch of EE's who don't really know much about football.. let alone the NFL we let Yahoo randomly pick teams for us.   Which is great for me because I can usually pick up some great players after they have 1 bad week because the other guys will dump them.  :D

Photos from the Guilford game for anyone who's interested.  The photographer Tim Bates does a nice job:

Check out the photo where Guilford freshman James Tyndall (#54) separated Winston Young (#32) from the ball - and the ground! - on a kickoff return.  This game had some hard hitting.  The ensuing fumble recover by the Quakers led to a relatively short scoring drive (21 yards, I think).

Something perhaps our coaches can use for the rest of the season.

I wish I could have listened in on that BC endzone huddle after the final horn.  I have a feeling the E&H Wasps may wish they were not the next team on the schedule for the Eagles.

WOW!  :o

Winston was in the air a lot on Saturday.

He's my "Picture of the Week" from Peggy's pictures (and this is a different play).
