WOW!  :o

Winston was in the air a lot on Saturday.

He's my "Picture of the Week" from Peggy's pictures (and this is a different play).
Nice shot!  Markas Brunson #98 (ODAC Defensive POW) went to Rosewood HS near Goldsboro along with #18 Danny Langston and a couple of other Quakers.  The Head Coach at Rosewood is a Guilford alumnus, so that school has always been a good pipeline for talent.

Great photos Hasanova. I'm truly glad I was present for such a historic day in Guilford Football! Now I just hope it doesn't keep my Eagles out of the playoffs. ;) Congrats again and good luck this weekend in Lexington.

I saw Winstons stats from Saturday.. but isn't it easier to pick up yards with your feet on the ground?  ;) :D

religionmajor -   Wow!  I honestly believe the quality of the BC program is largely due to the tremendous support by their fans - great football and great fans complement each other in so many ways!

What! No props to the folks at admissions? :o :o :o :o

WLU78,

Just a question of clarity, why are you adressing that statement to me?  That particular statement was found in hasanova's response to my post not in my actual post.

I don't think WLU78 was actually addressing it to you, religionmajor.  I think he was just noting that it had originally been part of a longer post by me addressed to you.  Peace

PukeOwner....

I hope BC and CNU face off this year....cuz that would mean playoffs!!!

Vikes and Pukers........not much to write home about this year. Don't count on a big dividend payout on your stock this year. I hate saying this, but Da Bears have it wrapped up already!

Geez CNWho,

For a ViQueens fan, you sure picked up on that nicely.

Good luck to your Captains, not to your 'Queens.

Good to see you post on here.  Come back and see us.

;D
GO BC!

I agree - they are great pictures.  As I noted earlier, the photographer, Tim Bates, does a very nice job.  I'm glad I got to meet you and all the other folks on Saturday.  You may not have liked the final score, but you have to admit it was a beautiful day for football!  If the Eagles win out and go 9-1, I think they're in.  If BC loses one more conference game, I don't think they make it.  I may be wrong, but that's the way I see it.  When there are 230+ teams and just 32 spots, it's a lot tougher than making a bowl in DI.  Unless a team wins its conference for the AQ, there aren't many 2- or 3-loss teams in the postseason here!  Good luck and safe driving wherever Stone Station goes!

Well, I have Bill Murray's autograph, so I wouldn't be worth my "Stripes" if I didn't know that was addressed to Sgt. Hulka.  :)

skoaltrain - Did you make the trip last Saturday?  I wasn't sure whether or not you made it down to Greensboro from Lynchburg.

No, I wussed out.  Stayed home with the wife and kids (3 years old and a 1 year old).  Buying my time for the upcoming W&L game.  I had it in my head to come then got up late Saturday Morning and laid back down.  Feeling really bad about letting my "team" down which includes my Buddy Llamaguy!  I did however turn it into a Stone Station at my house.  Started a fire in the fire pit, cooked out, drank some beers, listened to the game and enjoyed the company of my wife and kids.

And for the quote! Yes, you win!

Congratulations to the GC Quakers on their big win this past Saturday and to the BC Eagles for that unbelievable ODAC winning streak. Good luck to both schools the remainder of the year. Any chance for the ODAC to get two teams into the tourney ?
