Hasa, here ya go!!

You're on to me!  Will Ferrell and I are starting a band called "Blue Quaker Cult."   We'll be on Saturday Night Live this week after the game playing (Don't Fear) The Reaper, but I'm sure Will and Christopher Walken will go along with my idea to change the name to (Don't Fear) The General!.   Either way, there will be more cowbell than you (and Bruce Dickinson) can handle!  :)  To paraphrase Bruce, Quakers put their pants on one leg at a time just like you do - the only difference is we then score golden touchdowns!  lol  Peace

PS  There is a story behind this if some posters want to look it up!  :)

Actually, all us plebian non-W&L alumni have offices in the basement,

If that is true I really feel sorry for you, although it does explain everything.

Is this what your life looks like down in the basement?

Almost exactly, but perhaps a bit more cramped.  That's me on the right.  :)  I heard basement offices saved the lives of some of your ancestors.  It must have been extremely difficult to jump out of a basement window after the Stock Market crash of '29.  Thank God for small miracles!  :)

I know, I know... but I can't get to The Fresh Market during a halftime!

You can get to East Lex though....Hustle, Hustle!

Hug

To all of those who care about the Hug, I am sorry that I have to do this. I will miss all of you guys, but I just can't exist in an environment with so much negativity. The Hug is a pacifist, to read what has become of this board breaks my heart. So the Hug just wont be able to be part of this anymore.   :'(

Karma, who needs it. Not me!

I'm amazed that a HSC fan can honestly have a bad opinion of Marty Favret. He took over a program that had won a total of three games in three seasons(or something close to that) and within three years had the Tigers finishing 2nd in the ODAC behind a very good Bridgewater team and he has been competitive in the ODAC every year since. I'm not really sure how that can be judged in a negative way. Being upset that HSC has not won the ODAC nor won a game against a very good Bridgewater program is one thing, but suggesting the Coach Favret has not been good for HSC football is just simply being foolish. You only need to remember where HSC football was prior to Marty's arrival to understand how much better things really are. No one wants an ODAC Championship more than Coach Favret. my bet is that he'll get one and get one soon. Keep the faith !!!!

i want to apologize to Favrrett it was wrong of me to attack and be childish.  I am just frusterated for those guys.
Stink Box recanted after he had some time to chill.  After he relaxed a bit, I think he realizes the good job Favret has done at HSC.

Actually most cotillions are held around the Christmas break long after the ODAC teams have been eliminated from the play-offs.
Interesting.  In that case, W&L could have historically held them by Columbus Day.

Good one.

Hasa you should know that we collect our hardware in sports where one wears white.

BTW, why would a Quaker worry about cotillion, y'all aren't allowed to dance with girls are you?

AMEN, TFA.  H-S had a terrible time of it in the late '90s.  Favret completely turned that program around, and I'm pretty sure this had a lot to do with H-S getting a new football stadium.

I've got nothing but respect for Favret.  Martyball has certainly beaten my team for the past five straight years. :-\

Darn Straight it's still open.  Back in 1997 or so when I lived in my brother's basement on a concrete slab for 9 months while I was experiencing a nasty divorce with a child involved I had the numerous occasions to visit East Lex to "drown my sorrows."  At that time it was being run by a guy named "Jim."  I retrieved my beverage of choice, continued to checkout and make small-talk.  I said hey "Buddy."  He then stopped what he was doing and looked at me with the most serious face and said: "I'm not your Buddy, Pal, or Partner. The name is Jim."  After we traded monies I picked up my goods and said "Thanks a lot Chief!"

Yep, I'll have to give W&L credit there, especially in tennis.  It's really a shame the NCAA does not sponsor intercollegiate croquet.  Does that explain why trophies are rarely won after Labor Day?  :)

Oh, Quakers are allowed to dance.  In fact, we usually pick up a lot of girls outside cotillions after they get bored, fib to their escorts about headaches and say they need to go home.  :)
