ANyone know what that symbol is that is painted on the W & L field today?
not at the game, but i'm sure you're talking about the Cadaver symbol, which is the C with the skull in the middle. It is a secret organization whose members make contributions to the school throughout their lives. Current members usually make a late night entrance and paint said symbol on the field before every home game.
That a lot better contribution than I ever left on Jopson Field the night before a game. ;)

Congratulations to the W&L Generals as much as I hate to do it.  Gotta support the ODAC.

Way to go Gennies...

W&L's secondary shut-down all that Todd Woods had to offer.  The offense was a little sluggish, but what a difference a semi-healthy Stitterson makes!!!  And Varner's big play to Jack Martin was a thing of beauty.

Congratulations to W&L.  Here's hoping we represent the ODAC well.

W&L outplayed the Wasp today.  Sitterson is a special player that does make a big difference for the Generals. Woods made some poor throws that hurt the Wasp. Still think E&H is heading in the right direction. Both of these teams are very young of the defersive side of the ball. Would not be surprised if they are playing for the ODAC title next year at Emory. (Not a slap at Bridgewater)

E&H will have HS, Bridgewater and Generals at home next year.

Good luck to Generals in the playoffs.

If they finish at 8-2, will they get a home game?

Great to see the General's D back in action today. Exceptional season continuing, and it's a beautiful scene from the top of the ODAC.

Bangwell, keep your E on the P, and we're going to the effing playoff game. Any clue as to where the game will be? Lexington would be amazing....did you see that crowd today (7,000+)? But is that realistic? I heard we might play Washington and Jefferson--any validity to that or will we not know until the end of the regular season.

This is going to be an expensive trip, but obviously worth it.

Congrats you Generals. Lets get deep in those playoffs :)

W&L at Home?  Not a chance.   It would be nice as I'm only 50 miles away here in Lynchburg but not this year.

Just got back from a full day a football. In Ashland to see BC dominate the secondhalf in their victory over RMC. Then a quick trip back to the 'burg to watch #4 1-AA JMU dismantle K.C. Keeler's Delaware Blue Hens 44-24.

Congrats to W&L on the ODAC Championship and good luck in your playoff run. We will all be behind you. A few thoughts on opponents: possible senarios are 1) a trip to Washington & Jefferson, 2) a trip to Wesley, 3) a trip to Texas, and a long shot 4th option would be a trip to CNU.

I must shoutout to my boy Brandon Copeland. Eight catches for over 200 yrds receiving with 2 TDs. He set the single game record for receiving yards in a game at BC. Way to represent the #87. ;)

Finally, the funniest comment heard during today's football. Listening to the JMU broadcast while at the game the play-by-play guy says, " did they replace these refs with a D3 crew?". Kid and myself immediately look at each other and just shake our heads..........priceless! :-\

Just a phew thoughts before I heard to bed...

BC looked good today.  I liked how the guys are still playing tough following the two-game skid ... that should definitely help heading into 2007.

I believe W&L's romp of E&H today suggests that the Wasps' win over the Eagles was an aberration (a well deserved one).  Next week I like the Quakers by two or more touchdowns.  A 5-5 (3-3 in the ODAC) season will still a nice improvement from last season, but the playoff talk and "we are back" stuff was a little premature.

Congrats to Vogelbach for his 397-yard, five-touchdown day (and no INTs!).  Finally showed he still has what he displayed last year.

And finally, a sincere congrats to the Generals for winning the ODAC!!  You will definitely have me in your cheering corner during this postseason.  And to answer the home game questions - no, you won't ... you'll likely travel to Mary Hardin-Baylor (Texas), Wesley (Delaware) or Washington & Jefferson (Pennsylvania).  Hopefully it's the latter ... I'll be in attendance if so!  Again - CONGRATS!

Did Keeler have his sunglasses on?

LOL! He needed them to keep from being blinded by the fireworks after each JMU score. :o

Kid......a romp!?!

I think that's been identified as a gift by Snakehandler.  Four turnovers????
That decides a game my friend.

Yep....a gift.  Face it........you're scared of the Wasps turn around
this year.  We're back........and everyone is worried...just won't say it.

First, congratulation to W&L!  You earned the ODAC title this year and I'll be rooting for you in the playoffs.

Second, best wishes to the CUA player injured in the 4th Quarter of today's game (Rogers, I think).  It's always scary to see someone immobilized and taken away on a gurney to the ambulance.  Our prayers are with you and your family.

Third, nice to see the ODAC title still in contention so late in the season.  I see more of the same next year.

Fourth, as expected, lots of passing yards in Greensboro today as the Quakers take care of the Cardinals.  As kid mentioned, a great day from Vogelbach in about 46 minutes -397 yards, 5 TDs and ZERO interceptions.  He also had a perfectly-thrown TD (forty-yards in the air plus ten yards after the catch) called back on a holding penalty.  Bobak was also 4-8 for 47 more yards.  Ricca had three TD passes, but FIVE interceptions (one more on a 2-point conversion pass).  He had 446 yards, but Vogelbach clearly had the more poised game today.  Guilford's  Defense came up big when it had to do so.  Quaker D also had a TD after an interception return, but it was called back as well.  Interception stood, but a penalty on the run brought it back.  Nice win as the Quakers go an undefeated 4-0 at home to close the season in Armfield Stadium.

Fifth, CUA numbers looked very low on their sideline.  I don't think they had over 45 players, maybe 50 tops.
