All valid points 80. Not that I agree with them but valid points. ;)

I will say this for W&L and the ODAC. Lets hope W&L doesn't get paired up against Wesley in the first round! If that happens those small lines will be decimated. Wesley's team is 1-AA size wise with speed. I saw how nervous W&L's QB was against BC's line and Wesley will be like nothing he has seen in D3 before.
Trust me, I have seen them in person at home and they are nasty!

Their defensive line; Robinson (6-3, 287), Strickland (6-3, 284), Williams (6-2, 281) and Pryor (6-3, 230).

If it wasn't for Pryor's weight, that would be NFL size. :o

If you only play like-minded institutions then you should expect to get your doors blow off in the playoffs.

Oh, here we go again.  Mr. Negativity coming on here and making disparaging comments.

QuoteLlamaguy has done an excellent job following the Pool C candidates the last couple of weeks on the "Pool C -- 2006" thread.

On my fan site, I posted on my blog a more Bridgewater-specific look at Pool C
Llama, kid, Pat --- Thanks for doing the heavy lifting on the pool C analysis ... I new you guys had it covered, just looking for some obscure senario that might lead to a playoff berth.

On the other hand if this was D-I and the BCS any crazy thing could happen

BC guys - I can see Dion Rich is like radioactive material.  His half life will be about a million years.

Hasa,
It ain't all that bad. GC has it's Dion Rich and BC has it's Clock. At least we got to the Stagg Bowl and "could'a, should'a" won ........Well we had a chance to win .... a good chance.

(I wonder if the Prof and Raider guy will let that one pass?) ???

xbcdad - Reminds me of a sci-fi movie from my childhood, The Day the Earth Stood Still or the American Olympic men's basketball team against the Russians in 1972.  lol  Only kidding, guys.  :)   Yeah, I think any team in the ODAC would say they wish they had made it all the way to the Stagg Bowl!  GC won a basketball championship in 1973 and it's a great feeling that I still haven't forgotten.  I'd like to see the ODAC raise its game to where they get two teams in the playoffs every year.

All this being said, I will be at peace if we can get a win over Catholic this week and finish 8-2 for the season. We will come into next season with around 40 hungry Seniors who will have something to prove in '07! ;)

The question is, Llamaguy, are WE TAILGATING this weekend at Catholic?  I only ask it the second time because I have not heard anything from my first query and I need to have time to make brownies.  Please try to answer me sometime today.  That would be nice.  I have to take a class tonight at BRCC but I'll be home around 9.  THANKS IN ADVANCE!! ;D ;D ;D

Llama.....you better tighten up or the next round of brownies might be laced with something. I'm thinking probably NOT the stuff you used to find in the brownies at a Grateful Dead concert.  ;D

Oh please.

BC will always have the clock.

If anyone carries this Dion Rich story after this season, they are in serious need of finding something else to talk about, some other hobby, something.

D3football.com said it was a non-story from the beginning.  The ODAC's lack of action  agreed, and the NCAA seems to concur as well.  Looks like we had this one pegged from the start.

If the NCAA had taken some action, I think we would have been surprised.  Not the case - it all played out like the level heads thought it would.

Congrats to Bridgewater's quarterback Jeff Highfill for being named to the ESPN The Magazine District III Academic College Division Football Team first team (story here).

From what I'm told, he's now a candidate for Academic All-American.

OK, fine, Vogelbach can now have All-ODAC first team. :)

Pat, I guess you beat the prof and raider fans to the board
But it's all good by me. I forgot to add my winking smiling guy like this.  ;)

I'll be at least retired and probably buried before the clock discussion requires research to be remembered. And since the guy who provided the photgraphic evidence is a lot younger than me, and a much more prolific contributor to the board BC will essentially "always have the clock".

I'm just glad to say I was at Jopson and witnessed "divine" intervention. That, of course is a very subjective view.

xbcdad

Speaking of Divine intervention.... Since W&L has cliched the AQ and  BC doesn't have playoffs to talk about the rest of the week maybe we could have the kid roll out his video of playoff glories of long, long, ago. That would probably be a lot of fun for all the other fans.

Hey come to think of it ...I might be able to provide some footage of our family trip out west! ;D

Back to divine intervention...my favorites

The wind blocked field goal
The day time stood still
And (not football but still great) the last second full court bucket at GC vs RMC

#3 is one of my all-time favorites, too  :)

roocru

Hello Stone Station,

Just wanted to make sure you save a space at the Stagg Bowl Tailgate for two more.  I just bought the airline tickets to Salem.  ;D ;D ;D

Roocru and CruAlum39 will be there for the Stagg Bowl.   I wanted my son to see the game from a fan's perspective as well as a participant's.  ;)

The only thing that will stop us is if the high school team he coaches is still in the playoffs and then it will be a tough decision for me.  :-\

Looking forward to seeing all of you in December !!!!
Anything that you ardently desire, vividly imagine, totally believe and enthusiastically pursue will inevitably come to pass !!!
