Yikes...you're old!!  ;D
Sad, but true.  lol  I was in Columbia for the 1974 & 1975 USC football seasons while Ronnie "Sunshine" Bass was the QB.

The alternative to being old is unacceptable.

Abnrgr - there you go!  My parents didn't consult me about when I was going to be born, so I took what they gave me and hung on for the ride.  lol

Hey Jacketlawyer, I went to a Quaker Club meeting last night and got some advance notice on Guilford's October 27, 2007 Homecoming game.  Tag, you're it!  Start planning now for a trip to Greensboro.  :)

Noted for the record, err, calendar. . . .

Long day today.  :P . . .  reading the humor here helps quite a bit. ;D

For football trilogy I would have "North Dallas Forty", "Varsity Blues" and "Rudy"

I think All the Right Moves also deserves some consideration.  I think it fairly accurately described western PA blue-collar HS football and it was a good glimpse of a young Tom Cruise in his pre-couch-jumping-semiwacko-Tomkat-Scientology-Brooke-Shields-bashing days.  Craig T. Nelson is his NCSU-alumnus coach which also reminds me of Steelers coach Bill Cowher.  Any other nominations?

I never played professionally (some say college either) but I like "Any Given Sunday". Sorta sad but I loved Lawrence Taylor in that one.

speaking of Varsity Blues, when i was in law school in richmond, i was there when they filmed the episode of dawson's creek in which they looked at colleges.  i stood no more than ten feet from crazy eyes van der beek or whatever his name was and a young, uncorrupted katie holmes.  that was pre-scientology of course.

i almost forgot...where's the love for "waterboy"?  that bobby bouche could play.

not only was that movie pure cinematic gold for foosball fans but it also has to be in the top five of all-time movies with the word "water" in the title.

1975...wow.....the year I became a teenager.......I wonder what year I'll stop acting like a teenager?

Take my advice - never stop acting like a teenager.  :)  For the record, I finished my MBA at USC in December of 1975 when I was 23 years old.  Darden at UVa offered me a half scholarship and, since I had absolutely no money, I took the full ride at USC's Moore School of Business.  The rest of my life is a form of civilian PTSD.  lol

I once helped rescue Skoaltrain from the chitter on campus at BC. He may have been locked in but atleast he had his pen light and cell phone. Thank goodness for technology! :D

I remember that evening well.  Thanks Llamaguy for coming to my rescue.  The ole' pen light helped me know that I was finsihed.  Given the pitch black dark bathroom I would not have known otherwise.....

good thing it was a pen light and not a lighter; that could have gotten a little hairy.
