I do believe that I am going to make it. The Dr. visit went conciderably better than expected.
I certainly will do my best to get down there in time to wonder over to the Station.

Great news! Bring your appetite with you as we will have Brats & Dogs Stone Station style with all the fixins. ;)

Got caught up on everything I missed. As Skoal would say.....BORING!!  ;D Ok...lets see if we can get something stirred up. Everyone got their long johns pressed for the MU / UWW rematch in Salem?
BTW....should I wear a name tag to Salem with allsky7 on it?  :D olinemom may be the only one to recognize me. I'll be the handsome devil that looks like he just came off of a deer stand.  ;D
Sorry folks, I haven't posted in  a few weeks so I'm a little full of myself.  :P

How 'bout dem Lancers. . . . . finally a little payback for last year's blown call, and against Salem, no less.

And the game was played in Salem, no less.  I watched the game (tape delayed) on WDRL and it was one for the ages.  Great win by my northern counterparts across the James River.

Jacketlawyer, you coming to Salem 12/14 for the Stagg Bowl?

Yes, I am.  Been reading about Stone Station a little too long not to check it out.  Will be sporting yellow R-MC football hat.  Believe me, I'll be the only one there wearing one, unfortunately. . . . GO JACKETS.

I'll be there with a buddy whose father, at 91, is still a huge Purple Raider alum/fan, and listens to the game on the radio when he can.

On the same field that MU and UWW will be playing in two weeks.  ;D I'm trying my best to stir something up but nobody will bite. I guess all the Wesley/UMHB/SJF/SJ/Cap/Rowan faithful are hangin elsewhere. I guess this IS the ODAC board.  :P
One more note on the Amherst Lancers. (hope I don't jinx them)For those that don't know, this is a very good football team. Speed...speed and more speed. Their only loss came to a very good GW Danville team. They turned the ball over 7 times and still the game wasn't decided until the fourth quarter. Since that night, they have played like a team possessed. I'm sure Coach Abel and Co. reminded these kids that if they were to have a rematch with Salem, they would have to improve. Since week two, they have outscored their opponents 493 to 51. (21 of the 51 coming from Salem) I think they were paying attention! Hopefully, they won't have a let down after the huge Salem victory. GO LANCERS!!

The cooler has been stocked and it is time again for some tailgating Stone Station style!

Menu: Brats & Nathan's Dogs lightly sauteed in beer, onions, peppers, and scallions. Throw a little saurkraut or relish on there and you have a Stone Station dog. And of course the usual Heinekin, Boone's Farm to boot. See you in the Wesley parkinglot at 9:30am sharp! ;)    ;D ;D ;D

Skoal--I'm all about getting together with you and Allsky and knocking back a few cold chillies. . . but I believe SKINS is now closed. :'(

Too bad, too.  I do lot of work in Amherst (thinking of opening an office there), and I used to get ALOT of business from Skins. ;D

Congrats to Hampden-Sydney's Paul Williams (OL) for being invited to the Aztec Bowl.  He'll join fellow ODAC-er Chris Barnette.

Well I guess me jumping from Isle 8 to Isle 6 at Walmart today because the 80 yr old lady was running the register doesn't sound so bad now. In hindsight I would have save 5 minutes if  I had stayed in Granny's line. :o

Enjoy the train ride.... clunk, clunk.....clunk,clunk....  :D See you when you get there. We will be across from the field entrance. Just listen for the music and look for the only guy in the place wearing BC gear. LOL!

Cheer for me and be sure to have some of the pink stuff for me as well.  Now that I'm taking percocet regularly, you would have had to drink my share anyway.  A brick wall jumped up and bit the left side of my face Wednesday morning as I was trying to put my trashcan back on the porch.   :( :( I was very lucky because my left arm & shoulder missed the huge rock and so didn't get rebroken in the fall and the blow didn't break my neck.  I was able to get to Dr. Huffman's by myself where he said as usual  "I thought I told you not to fall!"  Then he told me I had to go to RMH to the ER and that I couldn't drive myself there.  (Sheesh-as if I were going to drive down the interstate dripping blood on everybody.   Watch out, here comes Draculetta.)    We actually both agreed on that move. Many hours later, you know how that works as you work there, after CAT scans of head and face and Xrays of arm and shoulder, the docs decided that there was nothing broken, although they weren't sure why not.  I told them I bounce pretty well.  But my ear is huge and blue and I'm blue from my chin to the ear.  Stitches behind the ear.  And one  hell of a headache since 8:30 am Wed. morning.  :'( :'( :'(   NO FUN AT ALL!  Don't try this at home or anywhere else.  Hopefully I won't look like Frankinsteina by the time the Stagg Bowl comes around.  ;D ;D   But if it does, I'll be the one with the BIG BLUE EAR!!  I'm planning to watch the WW-SJU game.  Last week it was great.  The kids did a very nice job.  I'm hoping that UMHB does great in Dover as well.  They have to play a whole lot better than they did last week to beat Wesley.   Wesley at home is tough.  I remember last year.  What a nightmare!!!  :o :o Please do communion for UMHB.  Say hi to everybody and e-brownies to all!! :) ;) :D ;D
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

Llamaguy, while enjoying your story about Aisle-jumping at Wal-Mart, I remembered one of the many corollaries to Murphy's Law:  Any alternate checkout aisle chosen while changing checkout aisles will always be the slowest.   Goes with "interchangeable parts aren't" and "any tool dropped while working on an automoble will always roll to the exact center underneath."  There are many others, but you get the picture!  lol  Enjoy the game today and travel safely!  Peace

Great job by Llama today...had two brats and they were in a delicious brine of beer/onions/scallions/peppers, etc...it was solid.

Thanks much.
