Hot damn that's a high paced offense.  ;)
No time, no read any post!  Are you coming to the Stagg Bowl?  It's practically in your backyard.  I sure hope so.  We are planning a real great tailgate as the game doesn't start until 4 pm.  Do try, the brownies will be good, I promise and so will Llamaguy and Skoal's chicken!!

olinemom.....Hope you are feeling better!!  :) Was wondering if there is anything I can bring to Salem? Not sure you would want me to cook anything. Might scare all your guest off.  ;D I'd certainly be willing to bring something to contribute to the cause if needed.

GO AMHERST LANCERS...BEAT LOUISA!!!
Thanks.  My head hurts like a . . .  well you get the idea.  :'( I can't seem to do any grading at the moment because the brain isn't working on all cylinders.  But then some people think that it doesn't usually work on all cylinders ;D ;D ;D.  Check with LLamaguy, he's the coordinator of the food.  I just bake brownies.  I'm sure any and all help would be appreciated.  Attendance being the best part of the help!!  Think positive thoughts for my WW WArhawks.  Wesley has me worried BIG TIME!!  See you soon.  Be on the lookout for the "one with the big blue ear"!!  Teh hee!
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

I am, of course, coming.  Can't wait.  Having been given a new lease on life, I am planning on enjoying the Stagg Bowl and seeing all my d3 friends.  I know where the Texas connection is staying.  Where is everybody else staying?  After all the partying that is . . .

If the weather stays like it is, everyone elses ears will be blue too.  ;D After the game I will be making the trip either to my GF's place in Franklin Co. or back home to my mountain paradise in Amherst County. SOOOO....I will have to keep the beverage consumption to a moderate level.  :'( It's a long cab ride and I sure don't want to spend the night in the pokey.  :(
BTW olinemom...was just up your way yesterday on business. Had an appointment with the Dayton PD and was over in the Funkhouser Center at BC.

Roocru and CruAlum39 will be there from Texas!  ;D Yee-Hah!!!  ;D ;D

Roocru are you'all flying or driving? There are a group of us coming in on Friday afternoon. We are planning a post patterns get together at a local sports bar to watch the D1-BCS Championship game and socialize on Friday evening. All are welcome. I'll post where we are meeting once its nailed down. So far the options are The All Sports Bar or Hooters in Roanoke.

Skoal,
What is the name of the other place you mentioned?

Does anyone with local Salem/Roanoke knowledge know which of these would be better for a crowd of 15-20 people? Thanks in advance. ;)

Llamaguy:  Corn (ed) Beef & Company.  Last time I was there, they had an upstairs with multiple Big Screen TV's and Leather couches.  This would be my first choice as last time I was there it was crazy!  Three different dance floors and some great apps!  Not sure of the exact location but I know it's downtown near "The Market."  Armed with that, you should be able to find it.  Rock and Roll as the SkoalTrain will be in Salem early Saturday Morning setting up shop!

107 Jefferson St. Roanoke  540-342-3354  Corned Beef & Co is nice place with lots of room. It can get kinda crowded sometimes and becomes somewhat a meat market later in the evening. Haven't been in a while but that's how it used to be anyway.

Sounds like a hot spot. Me likes to boogie down.

Yikes! :o  That dude is the posterchild for Corned Beef consumption.

You coming down Friday eve or will it be an early Friday morning trek?

Corned Beef and Co is solid.  Easy to get to downtown, and it's actually got multiple TV's downstairs, not upstairs.  If you go there, it'll be real easy for the bigwig D3football.com guys to be there...plenty of parking on the street available, we tend to go every year anyway...their wood-fired pizza is real good too.

Another good alternative is Mac & Bob's right on the main drag in Salem, practically across the street from Roanoke College.  Many, MANY TVs.  Sports bar crowd scene.  Muy bueno. 8)

As for the meat market scene at CB&C, a little ogling is good for the soul.

I'm up in the air!

Well let me help you land!  ;D  Hal and crew are coming in Friday and I have already booked a room 3 miles from the Stadium with the extra bed I mentioned a couple of weeks ago. To twist the arm a little further, remember Friday night at BW3's in Alliance, PRICELESS! ;)

And you couldn't drop by Flory Hall.  My office suite (not) is on the floor above President Stone's office.
