Has anybody heard from  or seen Religion Major?  He said he was coming down to Stagg Bowl this year and I haven't heard a peep in forever.  Just thought I would ask.
I think dentists try to poson you with that flouride crap they make you put your teeth in.  That,s nasty.  It's worse than the blue stuff. ;D ;D ;D
I can't Doff is going to work.  Surely a little flu or something is highly warranted on such an occasion. :( :( :(  I'm so going to miss those shorts!!

Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

RM will not be in attendance, notified me today. I know its not the same, but this guy will be in shorts on Saturday, atleast during the tailgate. Its been a weird weather year. I remember having to wear long pants Sept. 2nd at McDaniel and here it is Dec. 14th and I'm wearing shorts to the Stagg! :-\

Looks like a few of you have headed down already. I waffled about going. So much to do this time of year. I even had my Jeep serviced today just in case. But I just called Llama to let him know I wouldn't be able to make it. I am having serious thoughts about making a weekend out of it next year. This year I would have had to do it all in 1 day....4-5 hour drive....all that partaking....a game and then a 4-5 hour drive back. I coulda done it 20 years ago. I ain't so young anymore.

I'll be at a CNU hoops game and then home in time to watch the game on ESPN!!

To everyone going down....be safe...have a blast......and when the circle forms...have sips for me!

Thanks to all the old - and new - friends I met at Stone Station and the Stagg Bowl yesterday!  Good food, good camaraderie and good football.  llamaguy, skoaltrain, kid, olinemom, photos4bc, pakownr97, snakehandler, allsky7, Dad, the Wakefields, Hal, Dennis and others were all holding court in the primo parking spot and in the front row/45 yard line!  I'm also glad I got to meet roocru and son, jacketlawyer, Pat Coleman, Pat Cummings and Keith McMillian, among others.  If I missed anyone, I sincerely apologize - lots of names to remember in a busy day!  I even got a chance to plug GC Quaker football on the pregame broadcast - thanks Pat Cummings!  I'm also very happy the Warhawks scored four times because I got hugs and high fives from the lovely UW-W and UW-Oshkosh ladies sitting behind me.  Life is good!  lol

This near-sellout game in beautiful weather had a little bit of everything - blocked punt returned for a TD, kickoff return to inside the five, fumbles, interceptions, defensive stands, three FGs, long TD passes, two great runners and so on.  If you ever get a chance to go to the Stagg Bowl, you should.  Watching these guys play helps you see what you have to do to be in the upper echelon of DIII football.

Everyone, thanks again!  See you at the games next fall.  Peace

Classic weekend in Salem...

Stone Station was better than ever - quite raucous at times too...communion was classic.

Good times - glad to see so many there.

CNWho!!  We missed you!  I just wrote a novel on here but when I went to post, I lost it somehow, so I'll try to recreate it.

You should have come.  My wife, daughter and I made the trip down about 4 hours, got there around 1 pm, tailgated til 400, watched the game, then left for home and made it around 1230 this morning.  Got up and when to church this morning, every bit of it was worth it.

I talked to WCLegacy about you.  He stood out because he was wearing a bright red Wabash tshirt.  It was nice to see someone not wearing purple.  After three years of two purple teams, I have had enough.  Next year I think I will root for any team not wearing purple.  Just kidding.  Speaking of purple, you may as well make plans for the Stagg Bowl next year.  You won't need to watch any NFL games in December!  I hope you can get NFL network so you can see my Pack destroy your Viqueens in the greatest venue in sports, Lambeau Field...even better than Jopson or Salem!

Seriously, you missed an event.  Thanks to Llamaguy, Skoaltrain, Snakehandler, Olinemom, and everyone else from Stone Station who made it great.  We got to meet probably more than a hundred D3football.com  posters, and other folks too.  I am going to try to attend every year from now on.  Just please, hold the purple.

;D

Pat Cummings post just reminded me.  I got so caught up talking to people that I was chatting with two Mount Union dudes and missed communion.  I won't let that happen again.  Blasphemy on my part!

And to my friend Hasanova, it was great meeting you.  Next time we have to talk about old cars...your Nova and my Goat.  Looking forward to it already.  Hopefully you can make it up to Bridgewater so we won't have to wait until the Stagg Bowl.

Young guys love young girls.  Old guys love old cars and young girls.

I hope to be at BC next fall.  What year and set-up is your GTO?  Who doesn't love hugs from pretty girls?  lol

This was copied from the Stagg Bowl thread:

Some Regional Observations

Since 1999, here are the teams that have reached their Regional finals:
   Mount Union  -  8 times    (8-0).
   St. John's      -   6 times    (4-2)
   Rowan           -  5 times    (4-1)
   Bridgewater   -  4 times    (2-2)
           Linfield          -  4 times    (1-3)
           Trinity            -  3 times    (1-2)

Here are records of those teams that have reached the Stagg Bowl:
   Mount Union            - 6 times    (5-1)
           St. John's                - 2 times    (1-1)
           UW-Whitewater       - 2 times   (0-2)
           Linfield                     - once       (1-0)
           PLU                         - once       (1-0)
       Bridgewater             - once       (0-1)
     Mary-Hardin Baylor  - once      (0-1)
   Rowan                      - once      (0-1)
   Trinity                       - once       (0-1)

And, the Stagg Bowl, by Regions:
    North          -   6 times   (5-1)
   West          -   6 times   (3-3)
   South          -   3 times   (0-3)
   East          -    once      (0-1)

These are the elite of Division III.  Of course, Mount Union is in a league by themselves.  St. John's is a distant 2nd best of Division III in the last eight years.   Bridgewater, Linfield, Rowan, Trinity and UW-Whitewater make up the third tier group.

GO LINFIELD WILDCATS!  GO!

Not bad company!  ;)
