Tough to beat a full ride to a program which went 11-1 last season.

Steven Jackson, an O lineman from Amherst just signed with Shepherd also.

Another score for the PC. I am sure the QUAKER is next. I mean he "Looks" mean so somebody might be offended. The many must suffer for the few

Llamaguy. Could we please, please get up a Tailgate for one of the double header Saturdays during the BC spring baseball season?  It would be such a good time, as you know.  And I think the guys would really appreciate some attention.  ;D ;D ;D (Read that, I am the Faculty Athletic Liaison [and Brownie /Baseball MOM])  I was thinking that maybe there might be a weekend when the Track is having a meet as well and we could, as SkoalTrain suggested, set up kind of between the 2 venues?  What do you think?  Do you think we could interest "The one who wears only shorts" Dofflemyer and some of the other party animals to come out and support the men and women of the spring season?   :) :) :)
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

Unfortunately, the only home track meet is March 31, and baseball is away at Virginia Wesleyan that day.

Perhaps Saturday, March 24?  Doubleheader versus Hampden-Sydney.

On a sad note....Adrian Roberts, a 3 sport (football, basketball, & baseball) athlete at Randolph-Henry HS was killed in a car accident Monday afternoon. A Governors School student and apparently just a good kid.  Dick Bankston (Brad's father) was the long time baseball coach and athletic director there. I played legion ball under Coach Bankston over 25 years ago and am a better man for it. Even though he retired several years ago, I'm am sure his influence is still greatly felt there. I'd be willing to bet that this kid was positivley affected by that influence. I also know this is a tough blow to a rural community like Charlotte County. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire R-H family.

This reminds me of the scene in "Crocodile Dundee" in the park when the muggers jump out with a switchblade of sorts and Mick says "That ain't no knife, this is a knife!" and pulls his knife.

Its a loss when they go down young. I do know how a loss like that kills everybody else too albeit more slowly. I am truly sorry for the family.
