What is this world coming to ? We now have a RMC fan openly pulling for the Tigers to win Saturday nite !!!! I think we are all getting too old, I mean soft.

By the way, great comparison on the 4-6 thing... bring on the US Navy

:D ;D

I think it is just the sign of a truly wise man. Besides, if you can't beat em....join em. ;D

I've "thought" about this "best" or "worst" 4-6 team issue.  :)  Here's the way I see it:

You can perhaps "prove" you're the "best" 4-6 team if all six of your losses were by narrow margins (one point each would be best!) to teams ranked very near the top in d3.football.com (teams 1-6 would be best!).

However, at the end of the day you are still 4-6. :-\

Sometimes it's a journey, not a destination. I think it easier to rise from 4 and 6 to conference champs than it is from 0 and 10.  8)

OUCH! 8)

Sorry Jacket...just couldn't resist. When something has been engrained for 40+ years it's hard to cut the switch off. Guess I should stop while I'm ahead. Already have you pulling for the Tigers.   :D

Allsky, you don't need to apologize to me!!  ;D I enjoy the ribbing, and looking forward to giving it back (whenever that is)! ;)

How does one get to LC coming down Rt.29 from C'ville ?

allsky7

There is an article in the Mayberry Gazette this week about the new stadium at H-S. It is coming along nicely and should be ready for the home opener in Sept. My way of thinking, the new stadium should be good for a couple of W's.  ;D ;D That along with a new and improved D, I'm thinking 8 and 2 overall at least. And maybe even that elusive W over BC and an ODAC championship.  I mean since Jostens has asked the Eagles to ease up a bit and give their machines a rest. Might as well let them rest a little longer and retool for a Tiger ring. :o

tiger...with the new bypass open, there are a couple of options. Jacket may not agree but I usually just follow 29 business to downtown. Exit at Amherst and follow to exit just past Lowes. Cross the James River. Stay straight. It turns into 5th St. and then into Memorial Ave. Turn R on Lakeside Dr just past E.C. Glass HS.  Follow Lakeside to LC on L.
Another good option is to follow the expressway. Do not exit at Lowes. Expressway goes around Lynchburg all the way to stop light at Billy Craft Honda (big blue sign). Turn R on Lakeside. LC on R.

Guilford may not go 8-2 or win the 2007 ODAC championship, but I think they'll also have a big impact on this fall's title.  Vogelbach returns as well as a lot of the skill players and defense.  Throw in a revamped stadium and four out of six ODAC games at home and it looks good on paper.  I don't have any specifics, but Coach Kiesel has told me recruiting has gone well.  He says a steady stream of players have "knocked on his door" wanting to play for the Quakers.  Sounds good to me!  September 1 will be here before you know it!

I don't think you'd think so if the tables were turned.

Take it easy Pat.   These BC guys are struggling to get used to being in the pack again, but at least they can say "We're #2 We're #2 We're #2 We're #2.........Go Generals!

They certainly can't say that about last year.  I do believe that losing at home to us leaves them chanting "We're #3! We're #3!"  Just my take on the situation though. ;D

Actually, since 2001, anything but first is last to us ... so we're definitely chanting "We're #7! We're #7!"
