Traveling in the midwest the last few days .. saw Knox College, Augustana and Bradley University.  Interesting to see schools you always hear about on this board and in the sports pages (Bradley).  Actually, I'm typing this from a hotel computer center near O'Hare in Chicago.  Hope everyone's had a good week.  :)

Hey Hasa....I just returned from a business trip to Chicago last night. Stayed at the Doubletree O'Hare/Rosemont.  Got to go to Wrigley Tuesday night. Man, I tell ya... those Cub fans gave Barry hell in his pinch hit appearance. That rascal hit two HR's today. I'm certainly no BB fan but it would have been kool to see him hit one.  8)

Hey allsky7, I spent the night in Chicago near Rosemont last night due to a cancelled flight.  Flight was actually cancelled from Moline to Chicago, but I rented a car and drove to O'Hare so I could get out early this morning.  Then, it was delayed and they had sold me a seat that didn't exist.  lol  If John Candy was still alive, it would have been a scene from Planes, Trains and Automobiles:)  I've actually had the good fortune to see two games in Wrigley a few years ago and it was a great experience.  I can't say I am a Barry Bonds fan, but I do know he's right on the edge of the record.  Personally, I hope he doesn't get it, but it seems inevitable now.  Let's see how the media play it.  Compared to others who have set marks, I think this milestone will be somewhat subdued.  Peace

I hate the media.
I don't hate them, but, then again, I don't love them.  I guess I will just settle for a happy medium.  lol

Wow -- great comeback. Only took 21 hours to get it right. :)

No -- just surprised you'd edit a post that long after it had been up. :)

Ah, I see.  I just added an overlooked comma.  My reputation, it seems, is occasionally punctuated by my ability to write well.  :)

Thank you, Ralph.  Of course, one should always try to be punctual, but there is no statute of limitations on correcting a mistake.  Period.  :)

I had an opportunity to tour the stadium at HSC recently. This facility is unbelievable. Very impressive in its design, looks and usefullness. Time will tell what type of impact it will have on the f'ball program but I only see it helping.

September 1st is getting close .... just not close enough at this point !!!!

Okay Ladies and Gentlemen. I request a little help. Can someone please suggest a hotel near EHC for the Sept 22 game? I am more interested in proximity than class. I just want a place for my wife and I to crash the night before and the night of the game.
What time do the minions arrive to tailgate before the game?
This is all new to me (not D3, just EHC). Any help would be appreciated.

Ouch! Not much love for Bridgewater.  Let's change that with our/their performance on the field.
