Kickerdad,

My sidekick is at the beach so I will try to field this one. ;) The chicken usually takes about 2 hrs to cook. We use about 25 lbs of charcoal to cook in that time. The pork is a slow cook 12hr process. Keep the grill temp around 200 degrees, not over 250. After the 12 hr cook it is then pulled from the bone and ready to serve.
My grill is all stainless and has fireplace brick in the bottom so it holds heat quite well. Hope that helps.

Gee Wiz Olinemom--I thought we kind of got along okay and now I find out you're a hater. :(
Now theaprof, you have to put it all in context.  That was the year after the 66-0 game.  I needed to mellow a bit more, which I have.  But at that time, I still remembered the bitter cold and the 66-0.  What a day that was!

hey hasa,
Hoping to be at all the home games but you never know. Was also hoping to get to Methodist, Greensboro, and Bwater. Looks like I can't make it this weekend with a prior engagement taking up my day. Still think I should be good for the hime games, gboro, and hopefully a trip to Bwater.
As for the game... I agree. I think GC wins pretty soundly; somewhere around your prediction. I'll say 33-13 (2 missed Xpt for GC). I noticed the same trend last week with a few blocked kicks. With out being there I can't say what went wrong, but knowing kiesel I can say, it was most certainly addressed this week in practice. Thinking Vogs gets 4 more and add a rushing td in there as well. Would be a decent start for the quaker D if they could hold Methodist to less than 14 this weekend.

PS. Thanks to Kmack for the GC note toward the bottom of "around the nation." Always good to see the team get some recognition.
Hey, Trenches.  It looks as though I may be able to go to BC on Oct. 13.  I thought MHC's home game was Oct. 13 (visiting my son), but it's actually Oct. 6.  Since the Quakers are open that day, I may be able to see MHC and BC.  A friend and I also want to see Appalachian State this year, so I think I'll go to the WCU game in Boone on Nov. 17 (unless, of course, the Quakers win the ODAC and start the playoffs lol)  Hey, it could happen!

When I predicted 34 for the Quakers versus MU, I was figuring 2 kicked PAT's and one 2-point conversion!  Just a hunch!  My thanks also to KMack for some Quaker recognition in ATN!

I'm going to MU this Saturday.  If I don't see you there, I'll catch you at the Averett game on the 15th in Armfield.  With a 7 pm start in the first ever night game on campus, I'm expecting a large and spirited crowd - especially if the Quakers are 2-0.  First things first, however, MU should be a good game.  Peace

I will be a happy person if the 2 of you come up to BC for the game.  You could be neighborly though and leave Josh V at home (just kidding).  I'm sure Llamaguy will tell you where the Stone Station is, 'cause you've just got to come there!!!  It's across from the President's house on E. College street.  Nervously awaiting that weekend!

Hey Olinemom.  Good to hear from you.  Life can be very busy, as you know, but I hope to be there.  Sorry, #16 will be in Bridgewater on Oct. 13!  lol  If SS is on E. College Street near the President's house, I'll find it!  Good luck to all the ODAC teams today.  I'm off to Fayetteville in a few more hours.  Peace

Unfortunately, I wasn't at the game.... I heard about a quarter of play and some analysis... it sounded like stopping the run was a bit of a problem today. I do know that MC has a good running back so that may be the reason it was harder to stop them. It sounded like they got burned on a couple big plays, got up a good size lead and held off MC... i think the off total yds were 498 for gc and 412 for mc.... That's a good amount more than I thought MC would get today.
Hopefully the D can step it up in the coming weeks.
